Will the $199 deal convince you to buy a PSVR?

I mean that $199 GT bundle is just stupid good.
I didn't think twice before buying it and I don't even know or ever played the gt game included.

I mostly bought it for FFXV motd but I'm hoping we get more squarenix, capcom , or Japanese made games in general.

I hope I don't get motion sickness :(

I don't care for RE7 at all, are there any other Japanese games worth getting?

Btw, will Detroit become human have VR implementation?

most of us must mean ''most of US(A)'' right?

I have tried multiple times before, enjoyed it, but officially, it costs almost a 1000 dollars over here, soo, not soon

Nah, it's never interested me much. The only game that looks like it takes full advantage of the setup is RE7 and I've already beaten that. Then again VR has never really interested me anyway, the market's too full of run-of-the-mill on-rails shooters right now. Maybe in a couple of years though/

Hopefully soon enough - especially with regard to the fact that we're seeing a lot of VR titles release on PSVR.

never, unless they solve the motion sickness problem, which I don't think is possible, so no.

Bit of an insensitive thread tbh, considering not everyone has money to burn on expensive add-on tech.

On topic, I surprised myself by ordering one on Black Friday. Excited for it, but my order seems to be taking its time...

Nope I won't. No interest at all and I don't have that amount of money to spare even if the deal is good.

Still way too expensive in Europe and the tech needs to improve. Ask me sometime during the next decade.

Nah, that's $200 I could put towards a new GPU, an OLED TV or an Xbone X. All of those are way more interesting to me than any kind of VR.

Nope. I have no interest in high-end VR, either. It sounds nifty, but it's not among my priorities.

I hate VR gaming and the 3D effect doesn't work on my eyes with the headset, on 3D TVs, or in movie theaters with the funky glasses, so no, I won't be getting PSVR.

Thread title is maybe a little hopeful but I can only see sales getting better as the price heavily drops.

Personally I invested in a full 360 degree Oculus setup early so don’t have any desire to buy a PSVR. My PS4 wheezes when I try to play some regular games so I shudder to think how it’d handle VR. Even my 980 in my PC rig struggles to get a smooth 90fps with some stuff.

EDIT: if this thread is anything to go by then, no, most of us won’t own a PSVR (or any other VR) soon :D

Nope. I would most likely get motion sickness from it, and there is no games on that platform I want to experience.

Until a major AAA title is exclusive to it, and more than one to justify its price tag, then I'm out.

If Sony was up to rebooting Socom as a VR only title, then I may go in day one and buy all of what I need to go for it. That's the only title/franchise that would make me go all in without more than one title on the platform I would want to mess with.

I've been here since day one and it's been worth it. There was a time when I doubted there would be long term support, but VR is here to stay, and it's only gonna keep getting better.

So yeah, I expect most people who fuck with this forum to jump on board, someday. Maybe not on current gen hardware, but it's the future.

I'm waiting for 2nd gen VR. I'd love some better movement options, like a track pad you can actually walk around on. I remember seeing videos of something called the Omni, but that's just too bulky to be practical. Smooth movement is too nausea inducing for many and I personally really hate the teleport solution.

No, it will never be a viable gaming option. What makes you think a product that costs around 200-300 will ever be success?

No. I've tried it 3 times and all 3 time I have regretted bothering.

Even if I got one for free I wouldn't even bother hooking it up tbh.

Wake me up in 15 years when it's wireless has good full body tracking and interesting software.

I can't see myself ever having any interest in VR. The types of games I enjoy just aren't fit for it. Also, I hate the teleporting for movement thing.

Real Next gen is here thanks to VR.
20 years from the last big step(polygons) was enough.

I hope more and more people will see this, so VR will grow faster.

Not unless is comes standard with the PS5. If I was going to spend any money on a VR headset it'd be on the higher end, like a Vive.

Really tempted even though I have an Oculus.

If I had a PS4 Pro instead of vanilla PS4, or if there were just a few more PSVR exclusives beyond those announced, or if there weren't a bunch of PCVR titles just about to come out, I'd probably have jumped on this.

$200 with GT Sport is an amazing deal.

Not for me. Used to be very excited about VR, had an Oculus DK2 years ago. Got a Vive when they came out, ended up only using it a few times and giving it away to a friend who wanted one. Don't see anything on the horizon that would make me excited about VR anymore
