Mainly what he's doing for our economy. Looks like he's pulling the right moves.

I also think the whole space force idea is logical and makes a lot of sense to put into place.

I do want to get back on topic though. I would have never known about this stuff it I hadnt watched it. So yeah. Will be watching the debates.
So you're just not willing to accept the economy is doing well based on the work that was put into it over the past 8 years before Trump. Or you're not accepting that this economic moves like trade wars for everyone are great ideasb runners up get chlorinated chicken).

Or what about him saying NATO is a bad bad idea that's too expensive. He's literally making all the moves to alienate his allies so that it's easier to align with Russia for future pacts.

If being a vassal state is what you want, go live in Crimea.

Whatever dude. Just remember the previous two Democrats that held the highest office in the land were harsher than Trump on immigration.

They were very strict on immigration, yes. A lot of people have issue with that. But they didn't do fucking child internment camps, nor were they dumb enough to think building a wall was a good idea.

There's little point to them unless the moderators ask follow-up questions, or fact check the politicians. That rarely happens, and so you begin to realise these 'debates' are nothing more than marketing opportunities for both campaigns and TV networks - they aren't there to offer analysis or measure the qualifications of candidates.

No, they didn't but they were still splitting up families and I didn't hear a goddamn thing about that back in the day.

this is a pretty high quality shitpost line, honestly

Jesus Christ I wonder how people like you live in society if supporting the sitting POTUS is somehow beyond the pale.
pretty easily since damn near 70% of my county supported someone other than Trump two years ago lmao

the actual only way you can claim this is objectively true is by pretending deportation numbers tell the entire story about both documented and undocumented immigration, which is embarrassingly facile even for the two-bit trump train poster you appear to be

I'll watch only because these events are the most significant sources for the majority of the country to actually see the candidates. Most people who only barely pay attention to politics will see them, absorb everything their preferred candidate says, and then not factcheck or verify their statements. Unfortunately there's no better way of seeing how poorly the general public understands and appreciates the challenges and ethics of public policy than watching a debate and seeing everything turn into a pathetic prizefight where the only thing that matters is getting in a good line.

I'd like to ignore them, but in doing so I would be fundamentally misunderstanding the dangerous cycle of ignorance which dominates the broken system of American representational democracy.

in any event both of these dudes are kinda blatantly derailing the thread into "why isn't anyone tolerant of white supremacists like me?"

and yes, that's meant to be read two separate ways

so, like, report them already

He was linking hitler videos earlier so why not
You know if I posted a video like that in Nazi occupied Europe back in the 40s that I would've been killed, right? "Everyone I dislike is literally Hitler" is not exactly promoting a Nazi ideology.

People like you are beyond political discourse. Again, enjoy your echo chamber.

"you're beyond discourse" and "enjoy your echo chamber," he says, while still dragging the thread off into whatever the fuck this page is supposed to be

maybe quit posting if you want to demonstrate that you're Above This

We didn't have YouTube in the 40s.

Also: You of all posters calling others in this thread "beyond political discourse" is obscene.

Would you like to post some explanation with that image, or are we supposed to believe that protesting bad immigration policies means Obama did the same fucking child internment camps Trump is doing?
Sadly yes, all those pics of children in cages at the border are from 2014. When Obama was President. Also Bernie Sanders wrote a off ed directly critical of Obama for this policy.

I have to say from what debates Ive seen so far that looks like that is the case.
