Well when you put it like that...Morbius will at the very least make money after production budget, marketing etc. It's a vampire/horror/superhero releasing in October. Like, helloooooooooo, that will make money. Not saying it will be venom but it will not bomb by any metric except for maybe critically
Well when you put it like that...
But that description also reminds me of Dracula Untold and that was...yeah
Who didn't? Queen is an internet darling and one of the few dad Bands that are still cool. WB didn't hammer Bohemian Rhapsody into the SS trailers for nothing.
actually, doesn't Danny Boyle have a Beatles movie coming out this year?inb4 Stairway to Heaven and Hey Jude gross $700m+ each, ushering in the Rock Cinematic Universe

Bumblebee is already profitable according to Viacom CEO - The Last Knight had lost the studio (Paramount) over $100M. We are definitely getting Prime.

I thought Queen still being mega-popular is just a quirk in my country, turns out its a world wide phenomenon .
Don't forget Rocketman!inb4 Stairway to Heaven and Hey Jude gross $700m+ each, ushering in the Rock Cinematic Universe
My guess is that they will be outliers. Both movies had very good ad campaigns in China; Aquaman with the power Tencent and Venom with the power of good boyfriend Venom. That also shows the importance and growth of the Chinese BO. It has/is becoming a huge monster and something that changes the narrative. Aquaman and Venom would have done okayish-good if China wasn't in the picture. If only studios can negotiate for higher percentage...
I'll be very interested to see how the 4-5 CBM (CM, Shazam, Endgames, FFH, Joker if it gets released) will perform in China and if Aquaman/Venom are the new norm or outliers for CBM BO in China.

CinePlanet, a theater chain in Peru, says that Broly broke their presale ticket record. Previous record was Avengers Infinity War.
It would beat Jeff Bezos net worth.worldwide simultaneous wide release for a dragon ball movie with legit marketing would beat avatar
Venom was also Tencent. So is Bumblebee and that seems to be doing good too, though not exactly setting the world in fire.My guess is that they will be outliers. Both movies had very good ad campaigns in China; Aquaman with the power Tencent and Venom with the power of good boyfriend Venom.

Broly is stronger than Thanos would be more accurate.
STXfilms release of Lantern Entertainment's The Upside drew $1.1M last night from 7PM shows at 2,460 theaters. The Kevin Hart-Bryan Cranston remake of the French hit film The Intouchables will play at 3,080 locations starting today with an eye on $10M-$14M.
The film being a shitty remake of a not great film that was originally going to be distributed by Weinstein put the film at risk.Bryan Cranston must be sighing heavily into his coffee right now. Hart's homophobic antics have put the film at risk.
lol we'll have reached peak "cinematic universe". Leading up to the Beatles and Stones crossover event "I wanna be your man"
yeah I was reading ow this film has been in production in some form since 2011, then when it was made it was shelved due to the weinstein mess. The film being a shitty remake of a not great film that was originally going to be distributed by Weinstein put the film at risk.
(Sadly) I doubt that Hart being a jackass plays majorly into its box office.
so was Wasabi
Sony/Bona Film has the family canine film A Dog's Way Home based on the W. Bruce Cameron novel, who also penned A Dog's Purpose, which became an Amblin/Universal movie. Way Home is not sequel. The pic earned $535K at 2,657 locations that started at 5PM. The studio is expecting a $9M-$10M opening. The pic, directed by Charles Martin Smith, cost a reported $18M net and will play at 3,090 locations.
Sony's A Dog's Way Home took in $535,000 from previews beginning at 5PM in 2,657 locations. While Sony is still saying they expect a $9-10 million debut, this performance is actually ahead of the $455k in previews A Dog's Purpose brought in from previews before debuting with $18.2 million back in January 2017.
Sony stays winning wtf.
Not for long. Think their next(miss bala) is gonna go the way of proud Mary from last year but I guess it shouldn't affect them too much. An overall great year for Sony anywaysSony stays winning wtf.
Holy fuck at the spoilers
what a twist!
