I might take my dad to see Call of the Wild, he's a sucker for dog movies. It'd be especially nice to see one where the dog doesn't die at the end. (no spoilers)
Here's to Sonic having killer legs!

Are theaters usually packed on Friday mornings..? LolDoing my part and seeing Birds of Prey Friday morning
141 seats available as of now though :[ I hope I'm not the only one there
I hope Call of the Wild is going to be fairly good considering it's Chris Sanders (Lilo and Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon) Live Action Directorial Debut. But people seemed turned away by the CGI Dog in it.
Ironic considering it's competition is Sonic which also had CGI woes.
Also, Call of the Wild I guess is the first Disney Film of the year isn't it? If I'm doing a chart for their 2020 progress (Just to compare, I don't think the 10 Billion will be met this time) I better get the template created for it this weekend.
With their slate this year plus China not seeing movies for the first half of the year, $10b is a pipe dream.I hope Call of the Wild is going to be fairly good considering it's Chris Sanders (Lilo and Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon) Live Action Directorial Debut. The countdown to Artemis Fowl begins.
(Unless it gets delayed again)
$10m above BoP is the low end of the tracking as well.Sonic's really gonna do better than Birds of Prey OW by $10M?
I...don't know what to say...
The score also has me shocked, oh well, guess I'm watching it with A-List
Reminder that BoP was tracking where Sonic is tracking now before opening.
LolArtemis Fowl gonna gross more than Mulan in China. You heard it here first folks.
Isn't that a four-day weekend vs BoP three-day weekend?Sonic's really gonna do better than Birds of Prey OW by $10M?

No. Sonic 4 day is estimated at $60m
Sonic 3 day is estimated at $46m-$48m
I believe someone in one of these threads said that most billion dollar movies didnt need china to hit that markGuys
What if because of Coronovirus, no movies break $1b worldwide this year?
The movies coming out this year might (specifically Fast 9).I believe someone in one of these threads said that most billion dollar movies didnt need china to hit that mark

I think Black Widow can do it without China. Captain Marvel is almost at a billion without China. The movies coming out this year might (specifically Fast 9).
I wasn't convinced before this started that any movie this year could hit $1b, but without China, I think it's way more likely.
I really doubt Black Widow will do a billion, even if it had China. Captain Marvel did a billion but it was the first female MCU movie and people knew that she was going to pop up on Endgame.I think Black Widow can do it without China. Captain Marvel is almost at a billion without China.
But Fast 9 will be fucked out of its billie.
I agree, but I'm not convinced it can pass $1b without China.Black Widow is going to do extremely well. Has one of the most popular characters people have wanted a movie from for a long time, and it is coming off a 10 month drought of MCU films. People gonna be hungry.
Guys

Imagine if Sonic both beats Detective Pikachu and gets certified fresh
Yeah, the domestic ship sailed a while ago.Jesus, I just looked and realized Rise of Skywalker won't even make as much domestically as Rogue One (and will barely pass it worldwide). What a shit show
Man, if Onward is kind of a dud and opens lower than Sonic did, that could be really good for Sonic's legs.Pixar’s ‘Onward’ Arrives With $44M; ‘Invisible Man’ $20M+; ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Could Clear $50M – Box Office Forecasts
This weekend's expected No. 1 release, Sonic the Hedgehog, continues to eye a $45M-$50M four-day start.deadline.com

Imagine a world where Sonic breaks $200m domestic but Onward does not
Everything about Onward—from its premise to design to title to marketing—feels off.
Yup, everything feels like a compromise, made to be as blandly inoffensive as possible.IMO it has a kinda Good Dinosaur "went back to the drawing board multiple times" vibe.
