Not missing much of anything, especially not Fallen Kingdom.
The first movie is largely a familiar premise of "bad guys mess with the wrong person, man seeks revenge" in the mold of Man of Fire, Man From Nowhere, Taken, etc, but with subtle world-building, amazing choreography and stuntwork/action direction, tons of style, and a self-aware tone.
Nah I gotta keep seeing endgame until Memorial Day or so (when it passes avatar hopefully)Go see Detective Pikachu everyone! It's the best video game adaption since Mortal Combat!
Nah theaters will decline in popularity before inflation catches up I think. Streaming has already cut the legs off too muchOK, when do you think the TFA record will fall? I don't see anything having a chance until Avengers 5. Maybe Lion king?
I truly don't know. Once Disney let's Marvel Studios use the holiday season date? Honestly, it might not be that hard five years from now. I doubt either A2 or the new SW trilogies are the ones doing it tho.
Sarcasm or serious?Nah I gotta keep seeing endgame until Memorial Day or so (when it passes avatar hopefully)
Box office era is 100% serious about seeing Endgame multiple times to beat Avatar. Some people have been buying up tickets on Fandango just to support it.Sarcasm or serious?
I saw it 3 times. 1 alone. 2 with gf. 3 with brother. No need to see it again. I'm Endgame-out.

There shall be parades and rejoicing in the street and burnings of James Cameron memorabilia on that glorious day
Don't forget once it passes Avatar a national holiday will be declared and everyone will rush to the theaters and drive the worldwide gross to $3.5b too!
And burning dollar bills shall fly through the sky as the parade ends in the ritual sacrifice of James Cameron. Kevin Feige shall drive the knife into his heart while the Russo Brothers drink the blood that comes pouring out. There shall be parades and rejoicing in the street and burnings of James Cameron memorabilia on that glorious day
Again below IW for same day if that holds. 32% drop from Tuesday compared to IW's 30%. Curious if that trend continues or grows in one direction or the other.Endgame 3.85M and Pikachu 3.1M via Charlie

still all but locked up
More than likely. Domestic is kinda being sluggish but internationally its picking up the slack. If it passes 2.65 billion by the end of this weekend then it's a done deal.
As long as it comes out on top that's good.More than likely. Domestic is kinda being sluggish but internationally its picking up the slack. If it passes 2.65 billion by the end of this weekend then it's a done deal.
3 billion on the other hand doesn't seem likely.
I can see someone coming away thinking it was a sad movie if they, say, go to the bathroom after 20 minutes and don't get back for two and a half hourshad a feeling the legs on endgame would be a bit meh
shit is too long and too sad
Tell that to Titanic.had a feeling the legs on endgame would be a bit meh
shit is too long and too sad
They will do a BP and leave it in forever thohad a feeling the legs on endgame would be a bit meh

lol You summed it up better than I could have.I can see someone coming away thinking it was a sad movie if they, say, go to the bathroom after 20 minutes and don't get back for two and a half hours
Hands up! This is the FBI!! You mispelled kombat with a c.!!!Go see Detective Pikachu everyone! It's the best video game adaption since Mortal Combat!
I saw Endgame twice in theaters.
But I also saw Avatar twice in theaters.
So it all evens out.
It's legs are fine, some people expect it to have legs similar to movies that opened to smaller numbers but thats wishful thinking. The next movie that opens to over $350m, we'll have something to compare its legs to.I'm not sure, but why are Endgames legs being considered bad?
I'd expect it to fall faster... it's already past Infinity Wars total, and will likely be passed 770milly by this weekend. Starting that high the descent was always likely to be steeper than the norm wasn't it?
Where were those people when BR2049 was in the cinemas?Box office era is 100% serious about seeing Endgame multiple times to beat Avatar. Some people have been buying up tickets on Fandango just to support it.

I get it when you want to see a movie multiple times to help secure a sequel or more movies in that cinematic universe, but for Marvel movies that was already a given.
Christ, I also wish people would rather buy tickets for Detective Pikachu.
I need more movies in that world!
That's just silly. The goal is to beat that shitty Avatar movie. Whatever it takes.
Wish Sweden was still so fortunate. Had to wait five months for us to get Spider-Verse, I regretted not seeing that twice. Endgame is the only MCU movie other than Iron Man 3 and Homecoming that I saw more than once, and the latter two were just because I had friends who wanted to see it.Honestly with movies hitting bluray in like 2-3 months after release I usually don't bother seeing the same movie in theaters more than once.
