So roughly 53% drop for weekend domestic if that number holds. So just a smidge below IW weekend and percentage drop.
Wick 3 opening close to same OW as MI: Fallout is impressive. Even managed to pull in a slightly better per theater average than it too.

They proved they care about records when they pushed Black Panther towards that $700M
3/4 weeks till it breaks the record then ? Or am I optimistic ?
Endgame will be in theaters until early September if it's stays in theaters as long as Infinity War did.
Black Panther was in theaters for 25 weeks, Infinity War for 20 weeks. Captain Marvel came out in March and is still in theaters and will be so until probably end of June or early July.
So it's not a certainty if it'll beat avatar I take it? :/

The lesson we should all learn from this is that even 10 years removed, James shall always be a threat.
If Endgame keeps pace with IW, it has roughly $70m or so left domestic in the tank. That means international needs to pull the other $90ish m to pull it off.
Don't forget China launched later on IW. It came in at week 3 instead of week 1, so it doesn't line up exactly worldwide without some adjusting.

Yup. And if it keeps pace with IW it will do about $17m for the 3 day and $22.4m for the 4 day.
The animation looks good but the lighting in this scene doesn't hold up too well.
It still isn't in the level of say, MI, but that's a damn good showing for JW. Second one made around half of that OW.
JW3 budget was around 55mil. So they already made that back in a weekend.

Well, maybe, although it seems IW only made an additional 10M after it was extended for 30 days. It'd be funny if that margin was enough to have Avatar stay on top.
It was a great movie. Hilarious and themes many people can relate to. I don't watch many romantic comedies but out of all of the ones I've watched it was my favorite by far.

Disney is going to make the record happen...the only thing that will prevent it is if James pushes for some sort of Avatar re-re-release in 2021 before 2 comes out, which would inch it past Endgame again.

Also Endgame is at $29.4m this weekend. A bigger drop than anticipated and bigger % drop than it's brethren Avenger movies. (Estimate)
That's one of the reasons as it's an average movie indeed!
So, let's say it's got 13 weeks left and needs to make up 170 million WW. Needs to average between 12 and 13 mil per week for 13 weeks. Very doable and perhaps...inevitable.
