The re-releases people should be making a big deal about
Saw the Lawrence event a few years ago and it was amazing on the big screen. I also hated my wife then because it was her first time seeing it and I was jealous her first time was in a theater.
Na'vi were always a bit too far into the "cartoony" end to reach the uncanny valley.
This movie better be the best thing since the toasts I had this morning or a complete trainwreck, no inbetweens.

I loved Batman 89 when I saw it in the theater, but that VHS viewing... it aged like milk. Not a great film to watch twice, all the seams were showing.
Returns, OTOH, I watched over and over.
I'd argue no Batman movie has aged well except for Begins...
All films are better on the big screen, but Lawrence of Arabia is one of the few where I would say it is nowhere near the same experience unless it is on the biggest screen possible. Just incredible.
For me personally, I rewatched Returns a lot in the 90s couldn't tell you how it holds up now.
In the 90s and early 00s, I use to like Returns because of how dark and edgy it was.
But compared to the Nolan trilogy that shit is downright light-hearted nowadays...

It's counter programming. There's probably a large number of people who are interested in CATS but not Star Wars.
