That's soonish... I might pick it up a bit later. Just finished Doom, which was excellent and even better with gyro controls. Challenging boss fights now beatable on first try.
At least they aren't false advertising but goddamn tho

Mario Tennis Aces is June 22nd, and July 13th is Captain Toad and Octopath Traveler.
Some nice variety for this period on Switch, really.

EDIT: Also that looks most impressive if that's actual Switch footage. Hard to tell due to the quick cuts and it being a youtube video of course but I thought the lower resolution (whatever it actually is) and texture quality would be more noticeable.

Yes, the visual downgrade is obvious, but hot damn does that look good for the hardware it's running on. I held off on the PC version specifically so I'd have something to play on Switch and I'm feeling pretty good about that decision right now.
The timing is not amazing. A month earlier would have been perfect, as June is a wasteland for Switch, but this is inching close to Captain Toad and Octopath. Still, I'm in.

People are actively looking for the most minor frame-drops at this point. What we saw won't be a big deal to 99% who buy this game.

Third parties left money on the table in the first half of 2018. Now it's all bunched up in summer.

I'm usually decently sensitive to dips but I honestly didn't notice any in this trailer... guaranteed to be quite a few in the actual game though

Folks like to hyper-scrutinize frame dips on Switch because... reasons. The footage looked fine.

I'd go physical for this if the box art weren't so ugly! Now I'm considering digital depending on the download size. I've only got a 128Gb card to work with until I splurge on an upgrade come fall.

If they require those notices on the boxart I really wish Publishers would give us double sided artwork so we could flip it over and be able to enjoy the artwork without the notice.

Don't really see any dips on my razer blade. I do see variable resolution, which was to be expected. Looks good enough for me. I'm sure the end product will have dips though.

Yeah, I'll probably pick this up. I enjoyed DOOM on Switch, and I liked the first Wolfenstein on PC. Pretty cool this is coming too.
Also not seeing any particularly bad dips in framerate, not sure what those people were referring to.

I appreciate the suggestion! I'm currently holding out for one of two options. Either the 400Gb card will dip to ~$100, or the 256Gb will dip to ~$40-$50. Those are my sweet spots.
Do you do digital for absolutely everything on Switch?
I'm picking up Ys, Wolf, Crash, and Octopath.
