Would a GOW featuring Kratos fighting gods like Jesus and Mohammad be viable?

Let's say when the next GOW is announced, it show Kratos fighting more renowned deities such as Jesus or Mohammad. Would gamers be accepting of this or would it be too offensive to work?

Oh goodness no, especially Muhammad.

I think they should continue to stick with more mythical (I know I know) deities.

You offend less people like that.

Hell, it'd be cool to see Santa Monica make up their own gods.

I think it'd likely be far too offensive. Greek and Norse mythology are largely retired belief systems. Also, they lend themselves to mysticism and the combat style of GoW far better than Islam or Christianity.

no because violence between gods isnt as prevelant as it is in greek and norse

also those religions only have one “god” so it wouldnt work as well

Will never happen since both are highly active and practiced religions. Corporations are very conservative.

No, and it wouldn't really make sense after the way the new game handles the idea of conflict with gods.

As incredible as beating the crap out of Jesus with Kratos would be, that isn't happening lol.

They might want to wait a couple hundred more years before tackling that one, don't want to anger the majority of the planet.

Wouldn’t Jesus be technically impossible to kill since God cannot die?
Kratos would have a hard time.

Also God would be kinda hard to do in what to picture him. I mean angels and demons and Satan and all that would be neat. Fight Lucifer or Michael.

Also why fight Jesus, he’s a nice dude lol

Christianity believes Jesus is the son of God while Islam believes Mohammad is a prophet of God so if a God of War game decided to go with an insane premise like this that is sure to do nothing but court controversy for the sole purpose of edgelording, I hope they do more research than OP.

GoW only mentions religions of the ancient world like from Egyptians or Aztecs
Apart from the fact that it will never happen and it is a dumb idea: A lot of people would be offended (obviously).

Cory needs to live a happy, long life, not get killed by some lunatic. So no.
So far they only went for religions that aren't practiced anymore. Egypt will be the next setting if they are done with killing everyone in the north.

Jesus would just heal Kratos so It probably wouldn't work

Besides it being extremely offensive... even if you dont think it's sacred ... it is to a vast population including myself

Not a chance.

The shit storm would be biblical.

Also, neither are Gods.
Hmm, the whole point of Jesus Christ is that he's a true man and a true god (and by that I mean he is the God) at the same time, which is why he's the central figure of worship for Christians: through incarnation, Jesus Christ is a tangible link between humanity and God/heaven

a) no

b) this is stupid

c) islam prohibits the depiction of muhammad or any prophet, and jesus is also considered a prophet in islam

d) what would they even do, jesus is not depicted as particularly combative. they're both credited with miracles but more, like, healing and prophecy and mystical signs of nature

e) muhammad isn't a god

f) no
