Asuka needed that win so bad, and pass out finishes are already very played out. The way they destroyed Asuka since Mania, she needed at least one big 1 on 1 win because if Lynch is going to RAW anyway, then Asuka needs to be back carrying that SmackDown division.
Plus, if she's losing to Asuka either way, why do a fuck finish or just have a basic pin. The idea of multiple people being on the same level is a good thing. It's tiring with the one "god" in each division and it's how you end up with so many shitty Reigns situations.

He's vastly overestimating things.
Asuka beating Becky clean works fine. It was a great brawl, the variation submission looked great. This also sets up Charlotte with a reason to be in the Ronda match since Charlotte beat Asuka.
