Replace "millions" with "billions."

What's funny is now they put themselves in an even worse corner

Because if Braun doesn't cash-in tomorrow, he looks like a coward (as he himself said tonight)

If he does cash in and wins, Roman looks terrible

If he does and he loses, he looks terrible

This company is masterful at putting themselves in the worst situations.

Is it masterful or is it just kind of sad that they have to do something like this to avoid getting shat all over?

Its kind of hilarious that they'll go to these lengths instead of just changing course.

"Its not working, it'll never work...but lets keep going."

Should be the name of Roman's biography.
It's masterful because people fell for it. It's also sad because people fell for it.

it really didnt get shat over
crowd was hot for that match like they are for most of roman's matches
compared to matches where the crowd obviously loves one performer and the whole thing feels like theyre going through the motions cheering for spots or sequences (corbin vs balor comes to mind, or to a lesser extent seth vs dolph) they expect. i unno its more boring

It's clever in the moment as a way of avoiding what happened at WM 34. But it's dumb as shit in the long term because the goof you had to do all that for just to eek through his latest coronation is now your champ going forward.

Guarantee they've already got a video package started with the crowd ovation audio and video from when Braun came out but now set to when Reigns won.
Oh man, Vince just upped his game to 4D Chess
A sea of perfectly positioned cameras to capture the Braun reactions while only Roman was in the shot.

It can be both, it's masterful because he goes that far for something so inane, I'm legit laughing at everything about this ending.

"Braun suffered three broken ribs and a collapsed lung from the brutal beating he received last night."

Done. Roman Empire blah blah blah.

Really that was the most masterful booking from Vince in years, full awareness of the fans dumping on his plans, he concocted a scheme to keep all invested only to SWERVE and then also bail out on the post match celebration in record time while people still thought Strowman might get up.

Soon we'll find out that Strowman getting over these 12 months was all part of the plan, built perfectly for this one moment, long term booking from the higher power himself

The master plan was actually to make Lesnar never defend the title so people would be so bored of its reign that they would be like "pffff yeah ok let's do that then, at least it's a change...." when Roman actually won the title. It worked.

Honestly? If Brock is gone and they don't do a rematch (this was the last date on his current deal), then the opponent that probably makes the most sense coming out of this show is Balor.

Would explain why he squashed Corbin.

They have proven time and time again that they don't give a shit about how terrible Roman looks. As long he's making Vince money they won't care.

Just another step in the ultimate scheme.
Like burying his own product on tv via Lesnar, all the pieces have come together like a series of long running books, the anthology of Reigns/Lesnar

Agree, this match was way more interesting than their first 3 matches. All 3 superstars delivered on making a memorable main event.
I think the first match was still the best. It was an instant classic. This was pretty great too though. No bullshit. Just straight to the point and entertaining as hell.

Loved Brock just beating the shit out of Strowman too. Made him look like a badass. From Strowman clutching his feet to the getting his case thrown out of the arena.

They had to move fucking heaven and Earth just to get the crowd to pop for a Roman win that was built up for 3 god damn years. Wow. Great job. I'm sure that'll pan out long term.

Enjoy the boos tomorrow night.

Best moment of WWE SummerSlam 2018 = Becky Lynch getting the biggest pop of the night

So Owens/Reigns is being advertised for Hell in a Cell? Fantastic. Owens fed to Reigns for his first successful title defense after being jobbed to Strowman for months. They've killed him down to Bray Wyatt status.

Classic? Sorry, with all due respect, no.

They is no way you can justify Owens getting a title shot after he got completely squashed like a fucking geek tonight.

That's not to say they won't do it, but it'd be hilarious to see how they try and justify it.

It's amazing to see people defend a six hour show that didn't do anything beyond average by worldwide standards, in which the best segment was a botched heel turn.

From a storyline perspective, who looks good in the main event? Braun looks like a hypocritical goober, Brock looks like a easily distracted idiot, and Reigns doesn't look like a 'BIG DAWG".

Raw desperately needs a hot angle ala The Shield or Nexus(at least in the beginning). There is literally no buzz about anything and almost all characters are completely stagnant. Worst it's been in a long time.

Brock is gonna be on Raw tomorrow. Curious to see how they'll follow up on this. Really wish they'll do HIAC with Reigns, Strowman, and Brock.

With 4 weeks left, it's an organic story to follow up what happened here. And it can segue into a Reigns/Strowman feud.

I still think Owens got concussed earlier.
His head did bounce off the steel. Looked nasty.

ON PAPER I dont mind any of this, really, its just that theyre so fuckin incosistent with their storytelling that the moments dont work, they just make you laugh because you know theyre insulting your intelligence to your face.

I mean theres the dissonance with the Takeover yesterday, in order to pin Ciampa you might need to rip off both his legs and beat him to death with them and even then he might kick out at 2 but apparently BROCK LESNAR can be pinned after taking 4 spears and the unstoppable Braun Strowman is very stoppable after one F5? Enough for him to not get up and fight? Its ridiculous.

Nothing they cant recover from but it sucks seeing characters like KO get totally shat on when you know they could have gotten to the same ending without making so many performers look like weak idiots.

This match was supposedly the last on his contract unless he signed a new one.
