THE MATCH CARD:
Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship
Roman Reigns believes he's the uncrowned champion due to a controversial finish at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Brock Lesnar has finally remembered that he is indeed still the Universal Champion and not a UFC competitor.
After threatening to strip Brock of his title if an agreement was not come to on the terms of his next defense, Kurt Angle held a series of matches to determine his challenger, which DA BIG DAWG went on to win.
Merely 4 months removed from his loss against DA BEAST at Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns claims he'll get the job done. Amidst this, it seemed as if Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar's friendship was on the rocks, with Paul Heyman putting in an acting performance that made every performer in the actual WWE look like an amateur in comparison. While everyone wondered what would happen as a result of this new violent Brock who seemed to not even care for the one friend in his life, who'd been by his side for over a decade, it turned out it was all a ruse so Heyman could pepper spray Reigns in the eyes and Brock Lesnar could beat the crap out of him.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman are still the best of friends. And in order to spice up their fourth encounter with Da Big Dawg, they have began to resort to elaborate ploys to derive some enjoyment from it all.
WWE officials are concerned as to the state of Roman Reigns sight, and whether he will be able to effectively pull off a devastating spear with potential vision problems.
Who will win? (Brock)
Who will choke, figuratively and literally? (Reigns)
Who will go ooooaaaah? (Da Big Dawg)
And who will walk out Universal Champion? (The Beast)
Meanwhile, please take a look at this hype video for Reigns vs. Brock IV.
AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship
AJ Styles has now been champion for 9 months in one of the most boring championship reigns of all time. Fortunately, Samoa Joe has now stepped up to the plate to save not us, but AJ Style's family. As AJ remains on the road and pretends to be a fighting champion, he neglects his family and uses the excuse of WWE "work" to not fulfill his duties as a husband and father.
Wendy Styles, the wife of boring champion and known bigot, AJ Styles, has crumbled and sent a letter to Samoa Joe imploring him to dethrone her husband, because as much as she hates to admit it, AJ Styles does indeed suck as a husband and father.
Samoa Joe has taken up the cause and is now not only fighting to give the fans a worthy WWE champion who isn't a bore, but he's fighting to give back a family a husband and father.
Can the hero and Samoan Joe overcome the anti-gay, Muslin hating, absentee husband and father, who currently holds the WWE championship hostage?
I hope so.
Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey for the WWE Raw Women's Championship
So at Money In The Bank, Alexa Bliss won the Women's MITB match, and then later in the night, cashed in her shot in the match between Ronda and Nia Jax and won the title.
And so, basically, it's like, Ronda was really upset. And she hit Kurt Angle. Which is kind of sad, because Angle is a broken down old man. But then Kurt Angle said, "Ronda, if you be a good girl and stop lashing out, I'll reward you with a shot at Alexa Bliss at Summerslam."
And here we are.
Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens for Braun Strowman's Money In The Bank Contract
This all began when Kevin Owens attempted to become friends with Braun Strowman. In response, Braun Strowman constantly bullied Kevin Owens. He trapped him in a portable toilet, threw him off a cage, assaulted him on a weekly basis, and as a result of this, Stephanie McMahon decided to actually give Kevin Owens the opportunity to take Braun Strowman's MITB contract.
Because, clearly, Braun Strowman has an unhealthy obsession with the one true Beast Kevin Owens, and maybe losing the one thing that matters to him will wake him up and stop him acting like a petulant child. Look at that baby face with the big beard.
Fucking psycho.
Dolph Ziggler w/Drew McIntrye vs. Seth Rollins w/Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship
Ignore the outdated render from WWE's website.
Dean Ambrose is back baby. And he is looking mighty thick. He is looking clean and mean without the sloppy hair. He's looking like Triple H 3.0 has returned and wants to cerebral assassinate some people.
Oh yeah, this is an on-going feud. Seth lost an Iron Man against Dolph because of Drew's interference. And Seth went out of his way to get backup to help him even the odds.
That back up was Dean Ambrose. And he is looking like a world champion in the making. He is looking like he's been eating. He is looking like he's been working. He is looking like he's gonna break some bones and eat some goddamn chicken.
Tune in to see the majestic Dean Ambrose in his final form at Summerslam.
Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz
Bryan wants to fight The Miz. The Miz accepted. They're fighting. This feud is merely beginning. I recommend you simply watch these 3 short videos that debuted on the recent Smackdown chronicling their history as they're pretty good.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship
Randy Orton has been terrorizing Jeff Hardy and has been looking like a serial sexual assaulter while doing so. Somehow, Jeff Hardy has decided to ask for a rematch for the US title in between all this. Also, Jeff is broken. Mentally, I think.
Finn Balor vs. Constable Corbin
Finn is short. Corbin is tall.
Finn is small. Corbin is big.
Finn has hair. Corbin has no hair.
Finn is naked. Corbin is wearing a suit.
A feud of opposites or something basically. But mainly, Finn is small and Corbin doesn't like him. This is on Summerslam for some odd reason.
The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The New Day for the SDL Tag Team Championships
The New Day won a tournament to face them for the title. That's the story. Hopefully New Day wins and saves us from this torment.
Elias will perform his greatest song at Summerslam
Elias is getting his own little concert. The 5 hours have to be filled, and 10 matches isn't enough.
Carmella vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair for the SDL Women's Championship
This is a match.
THE PRE-SHOW:
Rusev and Lana vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega
Rusev Day is going to anchor the pre-show in a mixed tag team match that is about the continuing misunderstandings between Rusev, Lana, and Aiden English (not pictured).
The B-Team vs. The Revival for the Raw Tag Team Championships
The B-Team has been on a roll and have gone from Miz side-kicks to top of the tag team heap. Curtis Axel has always been ace and is a pretty good comedic talent. They take on these other generic white dudes at Summerslam.
Cedric Alexander vs. Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship
So be ready, be excited, be overjoyed, for the reign of The Big Dog is almost here. (Not actually starting at Summerslam mind you.) And you can use this thread to discuss tonight's NXT TakeOver if necessary since it seems WrassleEra has given up on making WWE OTs temporarily.
