Xbox downloading at less than 1mbs

I noticed this the other day when the MCC update hit and I didn't think much of it. Servers are getting hammered I thought to myself. Here I am a couple of days later and there has been no improvement. Every other device in my house is working normally and I"m at a loss to explain what is happening. I tried deleting MCC and starting again but now it is trying to download the whole 94 gig or whatever at dialup speeds. Yay.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Megabits or megabytes?

Cause even then j still don't think any of those are dialup. Dialup is much slower no?

There's some DNS tricks that I've heard people try before. To use Google's DNS? I don't know if that helps.

For what it's worth I've just sat and downloaded Battlefront 2 at the full speed of my home Internet. ~90Mbps. So it's working full speed where I am.

youre trying to download a whole xbox, how fast do you want it to be?

Make sure no games are running, it caps DLs to 25% of the available connection.

For MCC, if you don't want everything, when it hits ready to start launch the game, go to options, settings, gameplay and pick what you want it to download.

It sped up for me after I closed every app on my X1X. I had MCC running and it was updating ~14Mb/s and then I closed it and it shot up to ~115Mb/s

Are you doing remote play on the xbox? I was downloading some games earlier and had the exact same download speed, and after about 30 minutes I tried disconnecting my ipad and just running the Xbox on my TV and it instantly shot up to 130mbps.

No other apps or games are open. If I try downloading something on my PS4 it works at normal speed. I downloaded Halo 5 last weekend which is a similar size and downloaded at the expected speed.

I just checked a moment ago and it is blazing along 1 to 3 mb per second. Should be doing a minimum of 25 at the very least.

The Xbox version of the update for TMCC started out like this until I manually started the Reach update (which was only 10 MB , just the license proving ownership of sorts), then it was fine/normal (around 100 MB/s) for what I generally get from Xbox downloads on the Xbox One X. The PC version was fine concerning DL speed from the start.
