Cable wouldn't be an option for me since I use my PC like a console on my TV. And come on...A controller THIS expensive should work without a cable.
I'm glad I didn't throw away the old dongle after the BT Controller release.
If you own the series one there's not much reason to upgrade. My first edition elite works just fine, there's really no reason to upgrade yeah?
My dpad button on my elite V2 was making a sticky line sound and had to return the controller to Costco. To much money to not be 100% satisfied for me
mine is doing that when i press up on my d-pad, too. debating exchanging.
I updated it and it made no difference on my end.Can anyone confirm if the Xbox Accessories Update for the controller helped with the Bluetooth issues?
Picked it up earlier.
What a controller. I don't know if it is worth the money. But fuck it, had to have it.
It depends. My elite v1 controller had annoying analog stick drift from the start. Could be mitigated with Steam controller calibration settings, but still annoying. My elite v2 has no stick drift at all (tested in games that would give me issues with the previous controller). I really like it so far. It sucks that bluetooth doesn't work properly, though. My first edition elite works just fine, there's really no reason to upgrade yeah?
I can't argue with anyone that for that price you just go back and ask for a new one. It's simple as that. But I bet it's pretty annoying to have to return to the store for such things, even more so if when you get another one and after a while other buttons start acting up.
Hopefully you got it from MS store or someone that has them on hand . Was so hard to walk out of costco with out one lolmine is doing that when i press up on my d-pad, too. debating exchanging.
I think it just depends on what's important to you.My first edition elite works just fine, there's really no reason to upgrade yeah?

You know that. Quality controllerI don't know if any controller is really worth $180, but if there ever WERE one that was worth it, this would be it. Feels as premium as can be in just about every way.
I've had to contact the rewards support for points before. It was for something else though, something much smaller like 4 rentals in a month. It was a long time ago so I can't remember too much.Just bought mine on the Xbox store via the awards app to get 15000 points.
Isn't showing the points yet tho :'(
People with Bluetooth issues, do you have a normal Xbox One controller to compare it with? It's not the best as far as Bluetooth range goes from my experience but I've been able to live with it, don't think I could use a controller that was any worse in that regard, though.
The bumpers for this controller are a new design.
Oh damn, that sucks. Hopefully they can get it fixed with an update.I have used the X1 and DS4 previously, the elite's issues don't seem to have anything to do with the range. I have played from the couch (8-10 ft) and literally right in front of my laptop (1 ft) and it makes no difference, random disconnects and lag spikes just happen.
Tim Rogers' review on Kotaku talks about the new bumper design... among many, many, many other things (it's an hour long LOL).Cool! The few video reviews I've seen haven't mentioned then at all.
The only issue I have is that pressing up on the dpad makes an odd noise. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it and it's not that loud, but it is there.
Yeah, something like thatdoes it sound kinda like a sticky sound, like a sticker peeling? because my d-pad up does that
My first edition elite works just fine, there's really no reason to upgrade yeah?
Stick tension.
Can you post a link to that. I tried to find it but couldn't . I bought mine and Best Buy if that matters? ThanksWow, that $20 for a 3 year warranty deal at Microsoft is a really good deal.
