Xbox Series X and PS5 loading comparison (AC, Watchdogs, Dirt 5)

Let's all take a moment to appreciate Watch Dogs Legion for giving us just a bit more time with our much beloved loading screens before they're gone for good this generation.
Xbox seems slightly slower. Very interesting to see differences in optimized games.
Edit: There are extra splash screens in AC: Valhalla on Xbox for some reason. I think it's the first boot on the Xbox, while it has been booted before on the PS5.

Ultimately, I don't expect cross gen or 3rd party games to show off loading differences. Differences will probably be fairly minor (Both significant improvements from last gen). I'm surprised some are in fact different. Makes me wonder how much optimization is involved to take advantage of extra speed.
Yeah there're three extra splash screens that aren't in the PS5 version.
I think it's because it's the first time they booted AC: Valhalla on the XSX, but they've booted it before on the PS5.
It probably skips the splash screens after the first boot.
This. More than double the loadtime is crazy. The actual savefile loading time is pretty much the same though. Just ~12 seconds compared to over 2 minutes on PS4!
That's crazy! Gotta wonder how representative that could be.
The fast loading will mostly shine on first party games and some AAA 3rd party titles. Probably not much to see at launch, but we'll know soon enough.

Edit: Sounds like Valhalla had three extra splash screens on the Xbox boot to get through. Potentially a first time boot/showing of certain splash screens and it had been booted before on PlayStation.

The Arabic (?) PS5 version does not show the unskippable:
- The Ubisoft logo
- The Ubisoft Anvil logo
- The 'Inspired by multiple ...' message
- The game saves automatically message
AC seems to have something weird going on in the Xbox version but otherwise basically what I expected.
Again, Valhalla has all the logos play out on Xbox, not on PS5 for some reason.

Really surprised to see the XSX not only keeping up so well, but also winning in some cases (00:05:11 faster loading into Dirt 5 Rally Raid race). I'd have to image this flips when the games become more CPU than SSD bound.
Definitely not a good representation of Valhalla for this comparison, as the game completely skips the splash screens on PS5, but not on Series X.
OP should put that Valhalla has several logo screens in the xbox version and not in the PS5 version.
MS' backwards compatibility mode must be crazy good because those games load so much faster on my Xbox than PS5, but with new gen games PS5 is kicking ass. Thanks for the video.

Yeah saw all the new replies after I clicked post. So basically it's almost no difference.
I just did a quick test for Valhalla load On my series X to title screen. Clocked at 26 seconds with included Logos.
About what I expected, unless the games are trying to take advantage of the PS5 SSD, they are going to be pretty similar. I'm actually surprised the Xbox was faster on the one thing, the Dirt 5 race or whatever. It was like 5 seconds or so as well. Interesting.
So fanboys on both sides are eating crow -

Series X competing very well in terms of loading times. Almost tempted to say its "punching above its weight". š
There was never going to be a huge difference. A difference will likely manifest itself over the next couple years but unlikely to be big.
I'd say it's more like "the gains of the XSX GPU and the PS5 SSD were both very exaggerated". The differences that people have been arguing about for months look like they're going to be immaterial. Owners of either console are going to be VERY happy with their choice.
