Xbox UK think it's coming in 200 days...but does Era know best?!

Another "Poorly-Aged Thing" in the making?!

We can only hope not and that Christmas Todd comes through.

No, I'm pretty sure they have that release date very closed. They're being very cautious about it IMO.

Not sure what the basis is for this thread given they announced a date last year and there's been no reports about it being in trouble

Why are people so sure it will be delayed? I mean it might be… but people seem so sure and I don't know why.

Does BGS have a history of delays? I don't remember Fallout 3/4 or Skyrim being delayed.

This seems needlessly negative.

Well the common theme I see from Era and the internet is that it will be delayed...

...Me? It's coming November 11th!

Honestly, I think that if we don't see real gameplay or any real hands on stuff yet (not finished of course) by June, I don't think it hits the November mark.

Nah i think if they had any worry about it being delayed they never would have given a date for it nor cont to talk about it releaseing on that date

Which game, since the pandemic, have a release date announced more than one year in advance and release on time?
But after saying that, when you see in which state Fallout 76 released, everything is possible.

Bethesda has a reputation for many things. Delaying games from their announced release dates is not one of them.

When is the last time you saw a release date announced more than one year in advance hold up?

I believe it will come out then but I doubt it will be in particularly good shape and would have probably benefited from a little more time in the oven.

To be fair, internet gaming platforms are addicted to negativity porn haha. I'm willing to bet there are people out there who don't play Bethesda games, won't play Starfield, and would still be filled with glee at the announcement of a delay simply because it's something negative to discuss.

I like how people are acting like we shouldn't be skeptical of anything Bethesda Game Studios says.

Like, have y'all paid attention the last decade?

I absolutely believe it will launch when they said it would.

Whether it's in a good or bad state to launch is a different thing.

I'm just looking for gameplay. In this industry for me, the game doesn't exist until I see it running on my platform of choice.

It's a stance that the industry forced upon me but a stance that has served me extremely well.

Its coming when they say it would come. Pretty convinced by that and BGS also gives me a very confident vibe on the game, more so than with Fallout 4. Certain air around it, dunno how to explain it.

Yeah, Bethesda historically always makes their dates once a specific date is announced. I can't recall Bethesda delaying a game after putting a specific date on a game.

Now, whether Bethesda should have delayed games, on the other hand...

The only Bethesda Game Studios title to be officially delayed (to my knowledge) is Oblivion, which was originally a 360 launch game (so November 2005) but ended up coming out in March 2006. Who knows how many internal delays their games have been through, especially with Starfield due to Covid, but I do not expect it to be delayed to 2023 given that they announced the date so far in advance.

This is what surprises me the most, I must say.

I know Bethesda Game Studios usually don't announce / show anything until maybe 6 months are left for release, but this seems like a game that is way further in dev than anything they have in the past, and they still maintain the idea that those awful making-of videos are anything.

I would have expected at least an ingame teaser or something, but it's probably coming hard this Summer, so no long to wait!
