The logic is that if the game is rated that means it should be ready to release fairly soon
But I swear we've seen games rated ages ago that still haven't come out

That was only true for Australian ratings usually since those were at least once dependent on near-finished/finished games unlike many other ratings agencies.

It indicate the game is very close to being completed, but Nintendo has a history of sitting on finished games for months in the past so it's not really that indicative.

not really significant news, the game could be released any time, the rating doesn't tell us much.
