XSX or PS5 reveal, which was better?

There was no PS5 reveal yet. That wired article is no more different from Sony saying they will be a ps2 with some tech bits during the late 90s to the editors of EGM.

I mean, XSX no question. We don't even know what the PS5 looks like at all. XSX got a trailer revealing the console, games, and we got articles with specs and a whole bunch of other info.

Only detailed spec info during the PS4 reveal was 8GB GDDR5 IIRC, rest were just names same as the wired article

Saying that there will be a next PlayStation console which will be called PS5 isn't exactly an announcement. You might as well announce someone gonna say "amen" in a Christian church at some point.

There will be a proper revelation at some point, where they share information about its design, price, or games.

Apparently the name of the console is what op is counting so basically is "who revealed its name better?"

Probably not fair to compare. XSX was technically revealed previously at E3 even if it was only as Scarlett. That would be the comparison with the Wired article.

As for revealing what the console looks like at TGA, well Sony still hasn't done that.

Edit: Beaten a lot. That said there's still so little we actually know about the next Xbox and PS5 in reality. The UI, unique features, games lineup, price, exact specs etc etc. 2020 is going to be fun.

I do not consider talking about the PlayStation 5 to be the reveal of PlayStation 5. Xbox though, that was definitely a reveal during the game awards.

Oh, did the article includes the updated Ps5 controller, games running on it, Cerny talks about the features of the console....The idea that the Wire article is the same as PS meeting in 2013 is just laughable.

I don't think any of them have been fully revealed yet, at least not to the point where we can compare specs, price, design, etc. We could of course discuss the trickle of information so far, though. ;)
