I believe this is the first time Sony has actually referred to the game as God of War: Ragnarok, and not just "the next God of War"

Thought this was already known? Or perhaps Era just indoctrinated me into believing it was called Ragnarok.

I believe we just knew it as the next God of War with the teaser stating that "Ragnarok is coming". It was never explicitly referred to as God of War: Ragnarok was far as I know, so I always suspected the subtitle would be something different.
Never mind that, Sony burying their PS4 launch lineup now it's in the past is giving me chuckles
It's also the third pillar and not a GBA replacement!
I was looking at the first god of war logo on the left going "where's the subtitle?" for about a minute
It was never officially named, when Sony announced the game they only referred to it as "next God of War game".
I understand how it all came about, but I'm still amused when I see Sony continue to market two games that Microsoft owns.
Them going straight to Ragnarok will be a nice surprise. Was expecting Fimblewinter with a certain tease in 2018 being the antagonist, after they were being weird about actually naming it, but I'm all in for that showdown.
Also very sneaky by counting the biggest PS4 titles as part of the PS5 launch lineup
They should've just used this but then that would show how inferior the PS5 launch was to the PS4.
Extremely solid first 12 months of the PS5 life.. it haven't been this solid and good since PS2.
Bigger thing to me is them putting the new Horizon listed under Cloud growth. Also the VR stuff.
I'm already starting the fan campaign to make the follow-up to Final Fantasy XVI be known as Final Fantasy XVII haha yussss you can't do anything to stop me I'm a mad lad!!
PS4 version obviously will hit PSNow a year or 2 after launch, like DG, HZD1 etc. did. Same for Miles Morales
Another thing that was pointed out in the OT, its not listed as a PS4 game in the slides.

Posted it on the other thread, but I should post it here too. God of War nowhere to be found on the PS4 slide, leading to suggest it's not crossgen.

Ideally the game only focuses on the beginning of Ragnarok, I can't imagine they'd fit it in one entire game, especially considering the pace of the last game.
Honestly no clue what they'd call the third game though lol
