You can finally purchase the original Nier on the Xbox store

This didn't work for over a month after release.
There was an issue that when you purchased the game, you instead owned the dlc, the game downloaded but you couldn't start it.
It's finally available and i shows up as owned for me.
I only found out because there was a review on the store, so i checked and found a gamefaqs thread from 2 weeks ago where several people confirmed that it works for them now.

i think it was global. i didn't see any people online for whom it worked previously.

Yeah this has been fixed for a couple weeks or so. It's a relief because I had no clue about the issue with the wrong license being given and tried buying it like 3 times 😅

Nice. Already like Replicant a lot so this ain't for me but it's awesome that such an old and weird game is available.
