Kate and Emma only sort of works now that she's not Kitty anymore and clearly an adult closer in age to Emma who has like basically not aged lol

Chris Claremont said Kate and Illyana and then Kate and Rachel during X-calibur were definitely dating between panels in the podcast 'Jay & Miles X-plain the X-men' a couple of years ago.

Honestly it's because that artist doesn't know how to draw young adults. Kate would be about 19 in that image.

In the comics Kate is likely around 27 and Jubilee is about 22.

I have this whole theory about how you can measure the entire sliding timeline of Marvel based entirely on how old Kate Pryde is.

She has to be in her 30s now.... usually when she goes by Kate she's an adult legit

Only reason I say 27 is that means it's been 14 years since she joined the X-Men. That puts Colossus at 32, Storm, Iceman and Nightcrawler at 37, Scott, Beast, angel and Jean at 39 and Emma at... I'm sorry I can't seem to think of Emma's age, it's like a sieve in my head. Whenever I think of a number for her age it just... Goes away, weird.

It also fits in line with the older members of Power Pack being in thier late teens.

Edit - also Excel your team is perfect, I'd just replace Rahne with Jubilee.

There was a joke in an earlier volume where Emma said she only celebrates her 25th(edit: fixed)) birthday every year. No one is allowed to tell her how old she really is.

When Marvel brought Scott back before House of X they had a flashback to "13 years ago..." which was set right before the first X-Men issue. So at most characters can only have aged 13 years between X-Men and House of X sadly. Probably also so that they can keep claiming Peter Parker is 28(having started at 15 now 13 years ago)instead of being "old" and in his 30s.
