you need to appreciate the Halo ODST soundtrack more often

The percussion is amazing as always, but also the saxaphone and piano make it something even more special when shooting covenent.

Reach and beyond are passable but nothing special in the grand scheme of things. ODST was special.

It is so different from the other Halo OSTs. That atmosphere it creates is really something different compared to the rest.

the OST was used in one of my favorite Idle Thumbs episodes ("Salacious Thumb") dating about 10 years ago. Still fond of it (also in the game ofc)

Nothing beats CE, though.

It's still in my playlist rotation. There's something really special about ODST's soundtrack that's hard to describe. You're a stranded soldier in a dangerous city, at night, in the rain, trying to find your squadmates through a storied city that's going to be all but leveled by the Covenant tomorrow. Somehow the music carries that all perfectly.
