Played a few hours of Steamworld Dig 2 on Switch and while I found the exploration and loot gathering fun enough I couldn't shake the sensation that I was playing as the damn Crazy Frog.
I did the same thing. It's just a fundamental part of a 3D platformer that you need to get right (or at least working decently), so I dropped the game quickly when I felt the jerkiness too.I bounced off Yooka-Laylee because of the camera. It was mostly fine but it moved very erratically so I thought that if the developer couldn't be arsed to fix it I couldn't be arsed to play the game.
Two of the main reasons i stopped playing Horizon Zero Dawn:
Those two things alone drove me away from the game.
- For some reason every few seconds the camera will slowly move to the left and stay in that awkward position until you start aiming again.
- The UI in the game is absolutely horrendous and there is way too much shit on the screen at once. Who needs that much information?
I just started playing base Destiny 1 for the first time recently and that shit is egregious. The cursor will straight up follow enemies without me doing anything! LolDestiny 1 - Can't turn off auto aim/aim assist.
Aim assist is for people who can't fucking play and I don't want to be treated like one.

You can dislike it and that's fair but don't look down on people like that. It's just not possible to play a game on a controller fluidly without aim assist unless the game mechanics itself are designed to consider it (like Siege). And Destiny is not the kind of game that is designed in a way that it'd be fun to play without AA.Destiny 1 - Can't turn off auto aim/aim assist.

I ditched RDR2 for a similar reason. I just found player movement was too slow.I bounced off The Witcher 3 because I found the combat slow and too complex
I dropped Metal Gear Revengeance because it didn't have a dodge button. I usually don't care much for blocking in character action games, and it was a major part of the combat in that game.

The protagonist of Hitman: Absolution is so abnormally bald and I just couldn't stand it.
You should revisit it.I dropped Metal Gear Revengeance because it didn't have a dodge button. I usually don't care much for blocking in character action games, and it was a major part of the combat in that game.

There is a dodge, it just doesn't have a dedicated button. And the blocking system is more like a fast paced parry/counter system when used properly. You're not meant to stand around and block a lot. MGS is a dynamic game.
That camera drifting back to the center was very annoying, I agree. Two of the main reasons i stopped playing Horizon Zero Dawn:

That good. I'm sure you'll enjoy MGR once you get used to its quirks. The game is an amazing ride and its combat system is a lot of fun.Oh, yeah. I am planning to at some point. I didn't give that game a fair try, and it looks so much fun.
It was just in the spirit of this thread, as in a pitiful reason to drop a game.
