If you don't use an ad blocker then you only have yourself to blame.
I'm hitting mute on 90% of my Youtube videos now the second it cuts to an ad. Want the channels I like to get some money but I am not putting up with any more PragerU shit.I try not to use adblocker in general, on sites that I visit frequently and seem to be trustworthy, but the fact is that they're putting way too many ads in the videos now.
And a distressing number of them are unskippable. I'm thinking about turning it back on, because the content is becoming almost unwatchable.
And if I see one more political ad about the "liberal mob" I'm gonna lose it.
I figured it was the video creator putting more ads in because they were getting less ad revenue now and are trying to make up the loss.

I wouldn't know, I have YouTube Premium because I'm not a pleb.
If you're on Android, use Youtube Vanced. If you're not, then I have no idea.I'm a little worried YT will become unusable on non-PC devices.
No ads, not even on TV boxes. I use Smart Youtube TV, or use Kodi with the YouTube addon.
I close the video when his happens. It sends a message to the creator and YouTube.
YesIsn't it the video producers who set the number of ads in a video?

Is this new ? I watched two different videos today that were a total of about 10 minutes each and every 90 seconds or so a new ad pops up for about the first 6 minutes .
Never saw it that excessive before.
I don't mind if they don't force bundle with YouTube music that I will end up paying 15 pounds for both.yeah lot more commercials now....
and also more actively trying to push their subscription service
I'm shit out of luck since I use AppleTV for most of my online video watching. For those on iOS I would recommend downloading the Firefox Focus browser. It has a built in ad blocker and it's what I use for YouTube in bed.
A video with 4 ads mid video on the YouTube app on my phone plays no ads on that browser.
