Youtuber claims he gained 21 pounds of muscle while losing 13 pounds of fat in 30 days by working out like Chris Hemsworth for a month

His starting stats: 198 lbs, 17% body fat, 33.6 lbs in fat.

His final stats: 206 lbs, 10% body fat, 20.6 lbs in fat.

33.6-20.6=13 pounds lost in fat

206-198=8 pounds gained in total weight. If he just lost 13 pounds of fat without gaining any weight, he would weight 198-13=185 pounds. But he claims that he weight 206 pounds at the end. Which means he gained 21 pounds of muscle assuming his water weight has not changed.

This is impossible, even for beginners. He is trying to sell the idea that he somehow gained 21 pounds in muscle while losing 13 pounds in fat all within a month.

This video is a perfect example of youtube con artists. Either he lying about his stats or he is lying about how long it took him to make this transformation. And judging by his before and after pics, you can clearly tell that he didn't gain 21 pounds of muscle.

If you can put on a good solid pound of lean muscle a month that’d be tops, this guy is a fucking liar:

Pro tip: go to the meat section of your local supermarket. Find a ~12 lb. roast or slab of brisket. Pick it up. Hold it. Ask yourself, “Could I add twice this much meat to my body by lifting weights for a month?”

The answer will be self evident.

Before and after shots look like him flexing vs not. Conveniently added muscle defining by lighting/shadow placement as well.

I remember seeing how they make these videos.

They start out being ripped and then they eat like shit for a few days and take the bloated slob video.

YT is somehow less trustworthy than a shitty Sunday morning infomercial.
This too. A lot of before and afters are switched like that to show "results".

it's the same formula for every before and after pic. He gained 0 muscle , got leaner, abs actually look painted on (makeup) . Other favorites are tanning, sucking a gut in , flexing , etc . He doesn't even look bigger . It's a great result ruined by hyperbolic b.s.

Seems like he just wants Chris's attention for using his new app. Also 2 workouts a day plus 7 meals a day; good luck to anyone who tries this.

Why do people use actors? They have the best that money can buy and they don't have a day job to worry about. Notice how soon afterwards they loose the freak tone? Cause it is not sustainable

The gut in the left picture looks like a fit person intentionally pushing their gut out. I can do it too. You can tell there's not much fat actually there. That's not what it looks like

I'm calling bs on this. He doesn't have the benefit of newbie gains so the fat loss to muscle gain ratio would be low, and his final physique looks like he went on a cutting/lean program.

I feel like this thread could go hand-in-hand with that recent one about the vegan youtuber. Can't trust most of these types of channels.

I remember reading an article a few years ago about a personal trainer who would do these Before and After shots for supplements. He would take the After picture right after coming home from the gym, and then drink diet cola and eat some chips to get "bloated" for the Before picture. So I could believe the same thing happening here.

Why is it impossible? What's the max amount of muscle someone can gain in a month while losing fat?

That is biologically impossible. That’s why there are is a bulk phase and a cutting phase: because when you put on muscle to bulk up you are putting in fat too, so afterwards you do the cutting so drop the fat and avoid muscle loss. Body recomp (gaining muscle and losing fat simultaneously) like this guy is claiming to do is amplified for beginners for sure, but not at the stratospheric level he claims.

Additionally, gaining 21 pounds of muscle alone in one month is some Wolverine metabolic cellular hypetrophy bullshit. Unless this guy stumbled on the Captain American serum, is lying his ass off. Even fucking steroids dooesnt give you these gains in one month. Hell, fucking cancer cells don’t divide this fast, let alone normal muscles cells confined by the limits of normal metabolism, Protein synthesis and cellular division.
