Zathura should get another shot. Just as incesty and weird as the original.

Probably gonna see Jumanji 3 next week.

It would be cool for Zathura to get another go. And actually get the group out of the house this time.

Shit get a fantasy game involved like Army of Darkness.

Edit: Holy crap it's a real game

Great movie, but I'm convinced it failed because of the title. No one knew what the hell a Zathura is.

Needed to call it The Jumanji Saga: Zathura, or something.

I was pretty amused no one mentioned it, like it’s common knowledge Zathura has incest.
I just looked this up and holy shit I did not remember this.
In the fantasy adventure film Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), the rebellious older sister Lisa (Kristen Stewart) first meets the mysterious Astronaut (Dax Shepard) when the house was under attack by the Zorgons. She is scared but the Astronaut assures her to trust him and that everything will be okay. Taken by surprise by his blue eyes, Lisa agrees with him and tells him that she will never leave him. He leaves to take out the Zorgons, and Lisa takes shelter with her brothers. Having become infatuated with the Astronaut, Lisa comments on feeling safe and protected by him, noting also that "He has such gorgeous eyes", much to her brothers Walter and Danny's dismay. Walter tells her to not to try to get so close to the Astronaut but she does not listen. It is not until after Walter wishes for the Astronaut to have his brother back, who just happens to be Danny, that she's shocked to realize that the Astronaut is her younger brother Walter, from 15 years into the future.

I just wanted a 3rd board game movie, like the kids house turns into a pirate ship or something: Tortuga.

its essentially Jumanji 2, even Jack Black during a press run of Jumanji 2 said that it was actually Jumanji 3 because of Zathura.

regardless fun movie and definetly belongs in the series as a fun side title imo

I saw this film in the cinema while waiting for a late showing of Munich. (A friend and I had unlimited cineworld cards).

I remember enjoying it.
I didn't realise the girl was Kristen Stewart and I'd completely forgotten all the details about the film, including the incest stuff.

I remember enjoying it more than Munich...

Movie is about 2 brothers always fighting. They meet a character in game who is the older one grown up.

Teen sister gets wet for him throughout the film. She's also frozen in her underwear which the camera repeatedly lingers over for the first half of the movie.
Directed by- oh dear

Jon Favreau

Also, this is an oddly specific thing to pay attention to.

...and you want another movie like that?

Agreed , rewatched this recently and it’s just as charming. Comes off as one of the 80s innocent sci-fi films like batteries not included etc. I recall thinking we’d see more of Dax Shepard but he never really materialized again after that. I’m sure he got work I’m just not aware of.

One of many examples of John Favraeu's talent as a filmmaker. I went to see it back in the day with my dad and younger brother, and all three of us loved it. Shame more people didn't see it back in the day.

I should check this out some time. Haven't seen it in so long. I think it's more in the spirit of the original Jumanji with the 'game brought to life' more than 'life brought to game', although their house does get sent to space, so that kinda straddles the line.

We're not going to house discussions about how movies should be incesty.
