It was okay, but nothing to write home about. A lot of nostalgic value for sure but it's an extremely mediocre platformer.I'm all for more modern versions of 16 bit games but unfortunately I don't have any nostalgia for Zool. Was it any good?

No Chupa-Chups
It used to be quite popular back then, actually.
I remember when he was gonna be Commodore's Sonic.
It was no Sonic but it was good.
James Pond and Robocod.Oh God, right in the nostalgia. I used to play the shit out of it and Robocod when I was a child.

I remember it as an above replacement level mascot platformerI remember liking this game as a kid, but it's been too many years since I actually played to remember if it was genuinely good or not.

That's by far the most nightmare-fuel 16 bit mascot I ever saw.Straight from the same place . Stretchy RoboCod.
With Penguin biscuits product plaicement
Could Robo-Cop ever do that, it was more of an Inspector Gadget style thing?
Spot is probably still owned by Coca-Cola, so that's might be too much legal work for anyone to bother.I'm surprised that nobody brought back Cool Spot at this point…….I'd buy it 🤷
He was Charming , such a nice Waggie Tail and a great Pianist to bootThat's by far the most nightmare-fuel 16 bit mascot I ever saw.
Woah, I had forgotten about that until now.I actually really like the boss in Zool 2 -- Mental Block. I think it's a cool concept for a boss, and all the forms of him are pretty neat.
Bummer they are remaking the first and not the second, since the second was Amiga and Atari Jaguar exclusive, so very few people ever played it.

It's understandable since the first one has a lot more nostalgia attached to it. By the time Zool 2 came out everyone had probably realized the game wasn't that great and didn't pay much attention.Bummer they are remaking the first and not the second, since the second was Amiga and Atari Jaguar exclusive, so very few people ever played it.
Were you dropped on the head as a baby? This along with James Pond 2 on my Amiga 500 93. Even at 8 years old I thought they were both awful :D

Please, yes. I think I've never played the full game, but only the shareware version.
