After 4 years, here are my Top 20 most played (hours included) Nintendo Switch games. What are yours?
I really like that Nintendo Switch has a way to show you what your most played games are and also how many hours you've spent playing each game, but unfortunately those two bits of knowledge are in two separate areas.
If you're curious to find your top 20 and hours spent, you have to go backwards from your 20th most played game (can be found by scrolling to the right on the main game select menu) to first, "playing" a minute of each game...and then going to your user profile which tells you what your last 20 played games were...including how much time you spent on each.
The system does something interesting though, that you'll have to take into consideration if you have multiple accounts. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Animal Crossing, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and are three titles that for my Nintendo Switch, appear as being played more, but that's because those three are played on the console considerably more, due to others in my house playing them on their own accounts.
It might look different when you go to your own profile. For me, a few were out of order, but I eventually got my True Top 20 and here they are:
405 hours - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
195 hours - Tetris 99
180 hours - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
170 hours - Super Mario Odyssey
125 hours - Animal Crossing: New Horizons
120 hours - Fortnite
105 hours - Mortal Kombat 11
90 hours - Splatoon 2
65 hours - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
60 hours - Fire Emblem: Three Houses
60 hours - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
55 hours - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
45 hours - Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
45 hours - Luigi's Mansion 3
40 hours - Astral Chain
35 hours - DOOM
35 hours - Starlink: Battle for Atlas
30 hours - Hades
25 hours - Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection
20 hours - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

I love stats, numbers, sales figures, you name it. I'm the kid that used to call NPD every month and inquire what the latest software abs hardware figures were for the US. I'm the teen that searched with intent, the days of the early internet, to get Famitsu sales data out of Japan. Even in weight lifting and nutrition, would I calculate the percent gains I'm seeing in my strength and how many calories I'm consuming in a day.
Heh, it's just me...until I found so many others out there with a passion for numbers, oftentimes video game related, which I decided to share mine and am looking forward to yours.
It's a little time consuming, but kind of cool (if it's your thing) and could make for a fun conversation.
For what it's worth, I'm 37, married, and have a 6 year old son, as well as a 4 year old daughter. I thought I'd share that as well, since depending on your age and status, I imagine your game time can differ quite a bit. Oh and I also have an Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and gamed regularly on my PS4, Xbox One X (and OG), 3DS, and Wii U...though the latter two, not quite as much from when Nintendo Switch came out.
If you decide to share your own stats, feel free to mention if Nintendo Switch is your only console or not, your age, etc.
Alrighty then, here's to probably seeing some of you with hours in the thousands per game!
