Newly released Capitol riot footage shows unidentified suspects attacking officers with a tactical baton and metal knuckles

The FBI released new body camera video and said it was seeking the public's help to identify the assailants.

The FBI released new footage of two suspects accused of violent assaults on law enforcement officers during the January 6 Capitol attack. Authorities said the suspects used metal knuckles and a police baton to strike officers, but more than four months after the siege their identities remain a mystery.
The suspects' photos had previously been posted to the FBI's wanted list, but the FBI released new body camera video Wednesday and said it was seeking the public's help to identify the assailants.
The Department of Justice told CBS News earlier this month that the men depicted in the footage were involved in an attack on two D.C. Metropolitan Police officers who were dragged down Capitol stairs as they attempted to guard the building January 6.

--------
In the new footage, one of the suspects can be seen punching officers while wearing gloves with metal knuckles, the Justice Department said. The Justice Department said the suspect, who wore a red hat and bandana and was listed on the FBI's wanted list as #134, was on top of a police officer who was dragged into the crowd during the siege.
In a second video, another suspect can be seen attempting to rip off an officer's gas mask, then grabbing a tactical baton, which the Justice Department said he used to hit officers.
That suspect, listed as #106 on the FBI wanted list, had been wanted for pulling down an officer during the attack and assaulting him and others with a pole, the Justice Department said earlier this month.

If they weren't Trump supporters.. then why worry about the investigation?

Clearly these PATRIOTS were just helping THE BLUE. The COVID (GYNA VIRUS) has shown wearing a mask inhibits breathing and causes CO2 buildup! He removed the gas mask to ensure the officer could do his duty!

He then swung his baton to help dislodge a mask strap that had gotten stuck! The Officer could have become entangled in the crowd if that mask had been held there!

The other PATRIOT was punching mosquitos that had landed on the officer. West Nile comes earlier and earlier every year to the SWAMP that is DC (CLIMATE CHANGE IS A NATURAL CYCLE STUDYITOUT) and he didn't want the officer to contract the disease!

Checkmate, libulardos.

I wouldn't be surprised if your acquaintances were mostly likely there and trying to lie/hide about it

I've seen Republicans push outrageous bullshit before, but their new attempt to try and re-frame a fucking attack on the US Capitol is such a new low it makes me feel sick. How is it this fucking bad.

Yeah this shit makes me so mad and I feel like the media just moved on from the shit and hasnt been hammering how bad this shit was, and just because casualities were low only by the grace of capital police buying enough time this shit could've have been devastating.

Why don't they actually play this footage on the floor of the senate. They should be forced to talk about it while it is playing in front of them.

Holy crap at the second video. Looked almost like one insurrectionist tried to take away his weapon and then he just went to town. Who threw crutches?!

What worries me is that these terrorists made it as far as they did without firing a bullet.

Imagine how differently this would have gone down had they shot at the police instead.

Makes me wonder if this was a good test run.

Security for this day was made purposefully light and the Whitehouse refused to deploy additional help (until Pence did it himself later on). People had also been installed throughout that were sympathetic to their cause.

In a government that actually holds people accountable, Trump would be sitting in jail for the rest of his life for helping stage this attack on the Capitol.

One thing I don't get about this, if this thing was planned out days in advance with people on the inside like you're saying, why didn't anyone bring guns? Presumably all these hardcore Trumpers own guns. They figured they could do a coup with fisticuffs?

The people who went to attack the Capitol, in an effort to stop the election from being finalized, were organized amongst themselves online (including other shit stirrers like Roger Stone and his ilk). Many did bring melee weapons. The video in this very thread shows a guy attacking police with metal fisted gloves. People showed up in tactical gear and had walkie talkies. Someone had obtained a map of the building prior and was trying direct people to the chambers. There were people involved in the riot who took tours with Republican members of Congress of the building in the week and days before the attack. I could go on.

To your question about guns. I think even these imbeciles were aware that they would be fucking smoked if they tried to use guns.

What Trump did in all of this was he made it so there was as little resistance as possible for these crazy yokels. Including members in his circle doing things like organizing the buses coming in. Not to mention going out and directly telling the mob to go attack the Capitol, and working them up for weeks prior.

If you don't think this was planned I really don't know what the fuck to tell you.

Well, they did in fact get "smoked" in the sense that they didn't really accomplish anything and were immediately escorted out of the building once more cops showed up. Like I'm just saying, it would have been trivial for someone to smuggle in a handgun in their waistband or somewhere and do some real damage with it. Without guns, there's no way you can get past armed security guarding the elected representatives or hold the Capitol once more police arrive. Clearly not a very good plan I suppose.

The reason the republicans are spinning the attempted coup is because they intend to it again. The republican party knows it cannot win democratically. It will attempt to seize power.

I'm still disappointed in the federal government's response to the Capitol riot. The people WITHIN our government that enabled it should be tried for treason and locked up.

They got into the chamber floor. Members of Congress and their aides barricaded themselves in offices. They were literally just minutes from directly confronting the attackers. There was a SINGLE security guy who helped kite some of the mob away to give them time to retreat from the floor. There were people who made it in that planned to kidnap and possibly kill them.

It was pure luck really that one or more of them didn't show up with concealed weapons.

The GOP is basically saying that because it wasn't a military coup with actual battle and armed combat, like we see in other countries, then it wasn't an insurrection. It was just people exercising their 1A rights.

Trump wanted to burn it down, and he must have had some support from lackeys in various departments to slow down National Guard response and tone down Capitol Police response, but I doubt there was an actual centralized plan like we see in a third world country. No doubt some private groups had their own plans. It'll be interesting if we ever find out what contact they had with anyone in the GOP or WH.

They breached the Capitol and put their feet up on Nancy Pelosi's desk. Not to mention the active threats to Mike Pence and AOC, stolen property and people who were injured and killed.

It's really such a damn shame that pretty much nothing was done that day to stop the terrorists, and that even still nothing has been done to stop those in power who enabled it to happen. We should have charged all those republican congressmen and congresswomen who supported the attempted insurrection with treason and removed them from office. From pretty much every report, we were mere minutes away from massacre that day

I'm not disagreeing with anything you're saying here? I was asking specifically about guns. Like the ziptie guy actually smuggled in a weapon, but it was a taser instead of a gun. He actually acquired the zipties inside the Capitol, an article I'm reading says someone was handing them out from a cabinet. Not saying he wasn't intending to use them of course, that seems pretty clear from the article. A tourist visit? If that's the case then other nations need to ban entry to tourists from the usa because they can't be trusted not to fuck up important, historical or political buildings of government while visiting......but of course it's also totally normal for a member of Congress to shit their pants when "tourists" walk by their office.

It's unbelievable how they're trying to white wash this whole thing and yet peaceful protesters outside a church who got destroyed by armed forces of government so donald trump could hold a bible upside down for a photo op outside of said church without permission was a "riot" that police forces needed to break up. Get fucked you GOP fucks.

I wish we could let them play this game out, let them claim It's just a normal day of tourists and then randomly let people storm their offices while they work and terrorise these GOP fucks on random days without facing consequences and see how long they want to keep that line of lies going.
