Comes from Gamerant. Important note is the Bethesda negotiations took approximately three years and whatever deal this is has been in the works for some time. Expected to be announced if it happens by the end of this year or the beginning of 2022.
I can't really think of any other companies MS is that close with either. Plus FIFA and Madden on Gamepass would probably drive a lot of subs.
Way cheaper, EA is like 4x bigger.
Not unless they are really, really stretching the idea of a "Bethesda size" acquisition, because EA are enormously bigger than Bethesda. The Bethesda purchase is tagged at US$7.5B, EA's current market cap is US$41.48B and Microsoft would have to pay a premium over that.
Don't know if I would like that.
I'd rather microsoft buy publishers than Amazon or google.
probably but ms doesn't really buy public companies if i remember correctly
People like to think posts like these are just trolling or meming but I 100% agree here. By the end of this new generation I expect Microsoft to sell a lot more consoles in at least the UK and US while getting a lot closer in mainland Europe.Sony is so screwed. I already think they will be in a very bad position when all the current aquisitions start pumping out big exclusives every 2-4 months, and it will only get worse if Microsoft buys another big size acquisition.

By market cap, yes, they would be, though the measure of size might mean something else (if it's employees, for example, Ubisoft have about twice as many as EA and almost eight times as many as Zenimax).
you know who it is?
