I use it any time my Switch is docked. I'm happy playing Street Fighter 3 and KOF with it. I've used it for a ton of Baseball Stars, where I catch fools stealing second all the time. Lot's of double plays starting at second.
The only game it gives me grief with is Celeste, where I notice Up on the D-Pad not necessarily going perfectly UP, but up and slightly to the right.

Love mine.

If not for annoying nephews and cats, it would be 100% brand new looking.

It has a couple scratches and marks, but it still works fine.

Got my Day 1 Pro-Con, and aside from the D-Pad being garbage (Like all of the other 1st Party D-Pads this generation, good grief) it's an amazing controller. I'm using it almost daily with no problems.

I've wanted to get one for the d-pad, but it sounds like that isn't the best strategy. Are there any other decent options out there? Should I just get a third party wired controller?

Best controller I ever owned. Minor scratches on top is the only damage to it so far after over a year.

Been playing Fortnite with mine. Clicking in the left analog stick to run is going to take a toll. I can already tell a few more months of this and they will be in a bad place. (btw I really don't like games that force you to click in analog sticks to play properly.

It's solid but the buttons are too mushy. And the d-pad is tragic. I miss the wii u pro controller :(

Got mine for Christmas last year, love it. Use it whenever I'm not in handheld mode. I haven't noticed any problems with mine. Now, my left joycon is another story.

Six months later, and still no issues with either my Splatoon or my Xenoblade one, though admittedly I use the Xenoblade one about 99% of the time. Use it almost every single day.

No issues here, more than one year since I bought it.

Using it since July of last year and it's perfect. Never had a single issue with it.

I've had three now. I had to get rid of the Splatoon 2 one because the right handle was wobbly no matter how much I tightened it and it was driving me crazy. The other two have been great, though.... But. Like. Where the control stick hits the circle around itself, it does seem to be eating through the stick. Lots of white dust and a nice circular groove around the stick from all the rubbing.

Lately, terrible. Great controller, but having tons of problems with the battery now, it says it's low when it's not and it disconnects midgame, and that's specially frustrating when I'm playing multiplayer matches like recently with Aces. Will have to send it to repair or something.

Have 2 pro controllers, and they still feel as new to me. Even the textured rings on the sticks are still as sturdy as they where on day 1

The d-pad is a piece of shit (to the point that I never use it for 2D games, Pokken controller or Joy-cons instead) but everything else is pretty good. Had no problems with the sticks or any wear and tear damage at all.

It needs a fixed d-pad, audio out, and analogue triggers. Also a bit of a pity that battery life halved to 40 hours from the Wii U Pro's 80 hours but still better than DS4.

Got mine on launch day. Using it right now. Everything works perfectly (and I've only charged it four times since I got it).

Got a Splatoon one at launch and it's still pretty good minus the whole d-pad issue I'm too lazy to fix (with the tape trick)

Got a preowned unit a few months after launch. It's been dropped a few times from hand slips, still works like brand new.

Had one since launch. I've had to have mine repaired twice because the left stick stopped registering up presses correctly.

I've heard of a number of other people having similar issues after extended use.

I don't use it all that often, but it works fine. I feel like the battery has gotten worse, strangely enough. The d-pad is as shit as always though, so there's that.

Got the Splatoon 2 one.

D-Pad is garbage, Left/Right will add in an Up/Down input. Trying to play Tetris with it was hair-pulling frustration, as is trying the Squid Beats minigame in S2.

ZR trigger has worn to be pretty flimsy (but I've played 300+ hours of S2 with it). It still has click, but it doesn't stand as firmly as ZL.

Sticks are both grinding. Don't know if that'll effect them in the near/far future, but boy do they grind.

Would I suggest a purchase anyways? If you don't care about the D-Pad issue or will open yours up to fix it, definitely. They're very comfortable, and battery life is fantastic.

My launch pro has the wonky d-pad, but other then that its been fine. Now my Xenoblade Pro is flawless though, so i mainly use that one now.

I've had mine since launch and never had a problem. I love the way it feels, the battery lasts forever, it's seriously my favorite controller ever.

Had it for a bout 7 months, perfectly happy, no problems. Use it whenever my Switch is docked. Damn I love that battery life. Now I'm spoiled with controller battery life.

Hi OP, I had similar questions (and a big issue) with the Pro Controller, you can read my topic and the responses right here.

Long story short — mine stopped working properly after about a year. Just bought a new one with a 2 year replacement warranty.

I had a launch model with a terrible d-pad and eventually the left stick stopped working. I have a newer one now and the d-pad is a lot better, and no issues yet.
