Yep. Sunset Overdrive is a prime example of this statement.
But that would mean we wouldn't get a game that takes place after Into the Nexus :-(And people really thought it was a failure??? I told yall
We're gonna have an R&C 2 based on this reboot in no time
edit: oh, my bad, I misunderstood your pointEven God of War did not do 5 million in a week. Spidey has no chance.
Nope, it sold really well. Nice try though.I'm going to guess this is partly because it was a packin with PS4s not long after it came out.
That's assuming spiderman can't do better than god of war. One is M rated game familiar with gamers another is Teen rated familiar with the whole world. If god of war can do 3.1 million in 3 days then spiderman can do 5 million in a week.Even God of War did not do 5 million in a week. Spidey has no chance.
Spider-Man will outsell God of War easily, handily, and quickly - and it truly blows my mind that anyone imagines differently.
We're talking about the single most beloved Marvel character, in a world where Marvel movies are massive. Starring in a high quality open-world action game that will have all-ages appeal and which will likely be met with as much critical acclaim as God of War was.
God of War's success has no bearing on how well Spider-Man will perform, Spider-Man is bigger than God of War.
God of war did 3.1 million in 3 days. I don't think it's crazy to see spiderman doing 5 million in a week.No one is saying that. Of course Spider-Man will likey outsell God of War, it's just not selling 5 million copies in one week on one console.
And this was a game made in 10 months.
I'm curious to see how the next one does with an actual development cycle.
Zurkron the best.

I just want to see what they're up to next. It's been over four years already.

That is actually extremely impressive. I would have never knew. Just goes to show you the incredible talent at Insomniac even despite the flaws I think the game had with its writing (also being based off the movie) and I still thought it was very good. Now it makes much more sense.
Nah, he didn't specify beyond that. If anything, he probably thinks he said too much lol.Weird that this was announced during a forum argument. I loved Ratchet PS4, it's one of those games that you can automatically recommend to everyone.
Did he ever specify what he meant by most sucessful? Highest selling or highest return on investment?
Road Map for insomniac:
1. Spider-man
2. Sunset Overdrive 2
3. Sunset Overdrive 3
4. Sunset Overdrive 4
--> start with 1. again
Why do people always have to rush to bundling as an explanation every time a game does well? Its such a lazy rhetoric.
It did well because it's a good game, in a popular series, sold at a cheap price on the best-selling console. It's not rocket science this.

Nice, it's an awesome game. Hopefully they're making a new Ratchet game sooner rather than later!
Replace resistance with Sunset Overdrive.Road Map for insomniac:
1. Spider-Man
2. New Resistance
3. New Ratchet & Clank
4. Maybe something new
