Yeah, I know. I did try the whole Discord thing at one point for a few raids, it wasn't for me.
Raids just don't happen where I live/work, even organised ones. In London people generally only raid in the centre of town (zone 1/2), so to get involved I have to essentially dedicate my day to PoGo, travelling into town, paying for transport, trying to get to the raid spots on time etc.
It's a level of time, effort and dedication that I'm not willing to regularly put into the game, I want to the play the game at my convenience and fit it around my life, not vice versa.
I've been playing daily since launch though so I don't want to drop the game even though they've steadily increased the social focus over time.
