All the emotes come from real life.

Orange Justice comes from a cyber goth dance video that was a big meme 6-7 years ago. Don't listen to the people who think it's from some orange shirted kid lol.
I mean, it was brought to the game and named what it was because of the kid. Mind linking the video you say it originated from?

Considering PC users went to the lengths of digging into the game's net code and deleting certain lines to make sure the second map never appeared on the hopper, I think it might have had something to do with it.

Lol, people seriously did that?
All I ever heard and read was how much most people like and also prefer the desert map.

But I think one of the problem is (was?) that you just couldn't decide on which one you play and to be honest, that's a stupid decision that's on the PUBG devs, no wonder people are annoyed at this.

I barely played any of season 3 as honestly i'm just so sick of the current map. Map variety is really important to me in games, just for a different flow and visual identity and variety, so i'm hoping that there are some major changes coming for season 4, but having a break for nearly an entire season i'll likely jump back in a little heavier than for season 3, the break was nice.

This little promotion seems really cool, i hope theres some more cool stuff discovered in the coming days.

Haven't tried the game just yet but I love stuff like this
Every time they do something big like this, I give the game another shot. It's still not for me, but they're succeeding in making me interested.

This is really cool, even as an outsider just observing from the sidelines. I'm really envious of Fortnite players. I'd be so hyped if I was a fan.

This is the first free to play game EVER that I feel inclined to spend money on... I really, really don't want to, but man I haven't had this much fun playing a multiplayer shooter in years.

I think it's really time for a new map. Pirate themed? Great.

I just think it would be so refreshing.

The emote is definitely from the kid.

Its in the name... Orange justice.

But the kid probably got it from elsewhere

Why don't you? I've put enough hrs in that I was perfectly fine with giving them money. Speak with your wallet.

I'm extremely envious of the people who enjoy this game, as someone who has tried multiple times but failed to really get into it. Epic is supporting this game like no other developer and it's incredibly cool to see. Happy for all of you who play!

I know, right?

If it didn't have the building aspect then I'd be fine with it.

It's not from the kid or the cyber goths. The kid was doing a poor version of the dance popularized by Roy Purdy, the dance is animated correctly but a nod is given to the kid for the attempt.

Bullshit. That had nothing to do with a second map.

With all the rumors about a heavy, and I mean heavy, remodeling of the current map for next season, a brand new map with a real desert, new mountains, complete new designed areas, would be so much better than just deleting 50% or more of the current map and changing a lot of places completely. That's dumb. A lot of people enjoy the current map exactly how it is. With a separate map, they could insert all these new biomes in a way that feels naturally, just adding all this different stuff to the current map wouldn't feel that great, it would just feel like a new painting on a map that was never designed for a Sphinx or a cowboy setting or other stuff.

I would love to get a completely new world with brand new mountains, brand new water places, maybe more tunnels, maybe a beach, I'm a little bit sick of the current map to be honest and no matter how much they try to change it, it is still the same map that will always feel exactly the same. If there is a football stadium or a Sphinx at the top left, it's still the same feeling. Reddit had so many amazing map concepts, just having a real new map that's completely different designed would give me real excitement. Not just 3-4 buildings that are supposed to look like wild west while you still have the normal fortnite mountains and rivers and normal cities around it. That's lame.

Just look at this and tell me you wouldn't be exited.

I mean it worked for dusty divot. Having just one island help creating the lore. I feel creating a second map would divise the player base and all those ARG would be diminished

This is really cool. I love ARG events like these.

Makes me really curious about Season 5, which is probably exactly what Epic wants.

I'm shocked that they still devote resources to the save the world mode.

I'm really not. They said several times that it has a large player base and we know that it will become F2P, too, at some point. Any improvements that they are making now will help the mode even further later on.

It worked for Dusty (a bit, nobody is going there anymore) because the meteorite destroyed it and terraformed the place and actually changed it, but, these timetravel stuff probably won't terraform anything and just replaced houses and stuff and that's the different that I mean.

lol no it is from the cyber goth vid. that original vid is from like 2010-2011 but blew up as a meme a couple years ago. thats where roy purdy got it from and then later on that kid.

Love it. Epic is killing it with the live aspects of this game.

I also think it'd be great if they just kept changing the map instead of introduce a whole new one, which seems pretty risky at this point. I really like discovering aspects of the map that have changed over time, like the craters being filled in by work crews or grown over by nature.

This is what social community gaming is about and its so dam awesome

This is why Fortnite is such a cultural phenomenon. I feel like people arent giving enough credit to how much activity Epic puts into Fortnite's map

It's such an amazing way of doing things compared to any other BR game. They killed it with a simple art style and you can bet every kid talks about this at recess.

Its just so clever

We will absolutely get a second map eventually.

And people will be excited. More so than the current map touch ups. Why would it divide the playerbase?

What they are doing with just this map is really clever though. They are milking it so well.

Theres no reason they can't do both, they have a ton of staff working on this game, they have the resources and budget. Introduce a new map or two each year, and keep updating the older maps as new ones come in. If they want to do live story telling with the maps, have it so it makes sense to do so with multiple maps, or have the event take place over an hour or a day. Really the rocket launch was seen live by only a percent of the player base as it is.

The visual identity and flow of the game needs to expand, I just can't look at the same colour scheme and keep dropping in the same areas and following the same loot routes match after match, month after month. The 2.0 update was really excellent, the 3.0 update was not enough. I'm excited for 4.0, for sure, but even a drastic change to the map probably isn't going to be enough, plenty of us are starved for another map at this point. I cannot see myself playing regularly, not like i did for the first few months, without more maps being introduced fairly regularly.

I know PUBG didn't do very well with its second map, but Epic have a good track record with maps, i'd trust they'd knock it out with addition ones, and perhaps more importantly, they'd improve it if it was flawed, as they did the original.

Why do people want a new map?

PUBG fell apart when it added its second map. Fortnite is doing so much better sticking to radical changes to the original one.
Yup.

Then you just piss people off when they don't get the map they want. People throwing games or rage quitting. Fuck that.

Keep a single map, but keep it fresh. Update over time. You can never get too comfortable with your routes, since they'll always be changing. Battle Royale motherfucker.

Didn't Epic say they just wanted to focus on evolving the current map instead of making a brand new one? I'm down for a new map as much as the next guy, but I swear I read that somewhere.

I'd be happy to see another map at this point. I know every part of the current map like the back of my hand and I'd love to go through that period of exploration and discovery again like I did last year. Changing the current map has worked up to a point but unless they're willing to actually start removing areas they need to stop adding new ones - the map has too many places of interest from a balance perspective, areas which are stuffed full of loot but which no-one actually bothers going to anyway.

I'm tiring of the current map, Fortnite needs a new map or changes to the current one that go beyond any changes they've done before. The changes in S4 were small and, frankly, not that interesting. I get the feeling something S5 will bring a bigger change but if it is the template going forward I'm gonna tire of it very, very fast.

If you come across that in a big open area, it may be time to run
