Somebody suggested England fans are experiencing racism because somebody pointed it out. I just stated that it is infact true. Denial isn't achieving anything. Why take it as a personal attack? There are many campaigns on this issue right now, and choosing to trivialise it by suggesting it is not true is disrespectful to women who experience it.

You don't care about domestic violence. You're just trying to get a reaction. Why haven't you started a thread to raise awareness about it? It's also not something unique to England so why haven't you given us any facts about other countries too whilst you're enlightening us?

Because you're disingenuous.

I'm an England fan! I remember that Three Lions song from 96 and have been listening to it a lot recently lol.

I want Croatia to win because I want Modric to be happy.

Just look at all that joy in his face, wouldn't you want to see more of that?

That's the funniest thing about it for me. It's not even about the world cup returning to England from a long absence since 1966. It's about...the Euro 96 being held...for the first time? Wha? Although I suppose it had been a long while since a major football tournament had been held in England before 96?

I'd like to think even riots are super polite in Canada.
It was really bad. Many people went and helped clean up after and there was definitely a group of people who went down with the purpose of rioting(vancouver canucks stanley cup final) but the mob mentality that followed was bad. I was down there and I saw guys with their heads bloodied, cars on fire, people smashing shit. I was lucky to have left earlier or else it could have been worse.

It was a super embarrassing moment for Vancouver.

If you think English fans have it bad here, try being a Russian fan. I don't think we've ever gone a page during our team's match without doping accusations, conspiracy theories, incredibly funny gulag jokes and the drive-by staple of "fuck Russia" in all caps.
I mean to be fair, I get people shouldn't target the fans or team but when Russia is extremely bigoted and has history of corruption it's not a shock people aren't going to root for them. LGBT fans weren't being welcomed and some other racist shit was happening. I believe Russia was fined for it.

if it makes you feel better I want Russia to make it to the semis. That game would just be amazing.

Got back in time for the next game. Hoping for more of that Modrić magic! The Russians with home advantage will be quite strong, no doubt.

Would love Russia to get through tbh. Home advantage continues to help!

Congratulations to all England fans. Long time without reaching a semi final of a great competition

The funniest part is he avoided his perm out of kindness from Cappa and then gets banned for posting something fucking stupid lmao

Hopefully his final curse has lived on with supporting Belgium and saying France won't win the WC.
Sorry to hear that, man.
The thing that also sucked was that it was the second time Vancouver reacted that way. Either way hopefully next time we reach the finals we just win it. lol

what is wrong with you

I gotta feel bad for anyone who has internalised the hate for the current social/political situation to the point where they can't enjoy that! especially if they've followed the england team their whole lives. Not much you can say to that without being a dick. Just gotta not take the bait if you still want a good time and not get salt in one's eyes.

I realise now people actually think it's coming home then the fun might be over. but fuck it, it's been a hell of a ride so far. whatever happens from here on in, I'm so happy for our team

That's my point. Ronaldo played different roles in Madrid and Manchester United, but the post I quoted tried to act like Ronaldo pre-Madrid was this mentally immature player who was just a bag of tricks and consistently tries to embarrass players like Neymar does, which is just flat out wrong. Ronaldo had his moments when he transferred from Sporting to Man United, but the difference between Neymar and Ronaldo is that Ronaldo had veterans and SAF tell him to cut the shit out and do the things he was good at, and then had a stretch with Man United where he was one of the best wingers in the world. Meanwhile, Neymar keeps doing the same antics, while playing an individual style that does nothing to help his teammates get better.

Exactly! Neymar has this Peter Pan complex and refuses to grow....already is nearing the thirty and still act like the promising boy.....

I guess it'd be interesting to see the home team keep on advancing.
