The game is more like Destiny than an MMO, in that you're generally fighting in instanced areas either alone or with a small group. There are community areas with large numbers of people in them at once, but they're the exception rather than the rules.

Because the games have different servers and there's no reason to expect crossplay.

It's not a "Sony isn't playing nice" situation, it's a "these ports have to go through certification and don't always clear at the same time" situation.

Updates probably wouldn't go live at the same time.
There's usually a gap between pc updates and consoles, we dont know how they'll handle the switch yet so better not to have that much expectations.

You can play solo, but not every mission is easy to do that way - in fact, some of them are so difficult it's almost not worth doing.

It's always online, though. Even if you're playing solo you have to be connected to the servers. There is no offline play.

It's an online game, but you can totally stick with solo play. The majority of multiplayer gameplay is through online co-op missions. It's very much in the vein of Destiny and Mass Effect's multiplayer.

Panic button is on a roll. I'm guessing they have a lot more projects in the pipeline for Switch.

Is this going to be the Plains of Eidolon? The new MMO like open world that was added not too long ago?

Its online only but you can solo almost everything (eye rolling that atlas quest)

I recently started this game on PS4 and have mostly been doing the story missions solo. You also have the option of doing them co-op.

I think you can use it to remove corruption? Or add corruption? Or something. They were teasing that damn thing for so long and once the door finally opened it was really confusing as to what it was for.

It's free. There are optional in-game purchases, but virtually everything is craftable or obtainable in-game without spending money.

panic button is handling the port. while crossplay is unlikely I could see it between xb1 and switch. pc is off in its own world moving at warp speed when it comes to updates.

It was initially used for Nidus to infect himself with a boil to make Helminth chargers, which could also be spread to other players. After the community complained about an ugly zit permanently attached to their neck, they also made it so you can use it to pop it and make yourself immune to future infections.

We don't know if free to play games will require the subscription. They already say on the website that not every game will require it, and F2P games on the PS4 do not require plus so it's not without precedent.

Really?
Only modes with noticeable drops or lag were POE and raids.
Poe has been improved significantly and raids removed altogether.
In fact the only way i get frames to drop is by using banshee sonar to create fuckton of critical hit spots.

Still surprised the switch can run this tho.

Either way. I'm happy for Switch it gets another port I guess. This just probably is not for me. Will see what else is announced in the coming months.

As much as I'd like the thought of Warframe on the go, no way I'm one-way transferring my 1150+ hour PC account to it with no way to go back. Hell, most of my PC Warframe clan don't have a Switch.

I'm glad this is an option for people, but if I can't go back and forth, this is a hard pass for me.

Panic button seem to have gotten quite used to working miracles on the switch, but people saying that are being really hyperbolic. Only the devs of any said game can say that for sure.

But even some devs tend to just say their game won't run without actually giving it an attempt. I honestly don't see why Capcom thinks MH World on switch is seemingly impossible when you have people pulling off so-called miracles like these.

I'm willing to bet its not possible due to a reason that isn't related to the power of the system.

Not sure I could stomach playing Warframe at 30 fps (or did my eyes deceived me in the trailer?). It's such a fast paced action game with tons of monsters around with super precise movements. I hope there's a potato mode, I don't really care about the graphics. Also I hope there's gyro aiming. This game plays AMAZING on the steam controller.

I believe MHW is Aisa exclusive to Sony. At least that what heard in the MC threads.

Hence being impossible. I could be wrong tho. Could be speculation

It's not exclusive to Sony anywhere. It's just a de-facto exclusive because nobody in Japan would buy it on anything but Playstation.
