So that's the carrot they'll dangle in front of Bryan in the hope he will sign again, makes sense.
Bryan, a week ago:

"I am definitely up for it. My question - you ask me that question, I will answer it with a question. Do you trust WWE with telling that story from now until WrestleMania 35? [laughs] Like, what in the last several years has shown to you that something like that is possible here?"
...
"Whether we can prolong that on television for that period of time? I don't know.""

ololololol springing it on a nothing house show, again, they already did it in the UK
Great pictures and report!
I think the problem with the Up Up Girls is that besides a couple of moves it's hard to differentiate between them if you're not reading any interviews / backstage stuff with them.

These are the two new trainees, the right one is a YouTuber, the left one a former DDT wrestling student:

Call me crazy but i'm starting to really think basically, KO is ruined for being a big marks.

I wouldn't be surprised if being able to sell for Taker, with zero offense, take a chockslam and a piledriver and being pinned was a big enough achievement for him that he will eat every shit WWE will give him in the next 5 years.

So is Elias in the dog house? He isn't featured on TV, and I haven't heard about an injury. You would think after Elias lost in an unclean way that he would be still working Seth, but that isn't the case. Hell I thought when the Ziggler Vs. Seth stuff started up, Seth would enlist the help of his rival to fight off Ziggler & Drew.

I'm not surprised that 6 session CBT's pushed heavily as that's the case here too. Especially given how hard it can be for folks to seek out therapy in the first place and how easily going to one specific service and it not working out can reinforce the idea that therapy will never work for them. There's also a big push for high-intensity CBT right now which means people will be put on waiting lists for half a year plus then only get a month and a half of treatment. Then things only get worse when it comes to receiving more specific diagnosis if you're not able to afford private healthcare and welfare support has gone to hell since the removal of DLA. Basically the UK seemed to be so much further ahead 5 years ago than where it is now in regards to looking out for people with mental health issues and physical disabilities.

Though complaining aside I'm happy you're able to balance out the two sides of your professional life!

I actually had an article published last year criticizing the mental health system here. Not only do people not seek therapy, but the system is an absolute clusterfuck. People get admitted to hospital with mental health issues then when they stop presenting issues they get sent on their merry way with no referrals to mental health services so the problems just keep repeating. Whereas, if someone has a broken leg, a patient is immediately referred to a physical rehab service. Many, many issues like that. It sounds like our countries are facing very similar issues. Although, we are making some progress, mainly on the back of grassroots organs like Beyond Blue.

The main positive we have here is youth mental health services. You can basically get free therapy, weekly or fortnightly appointments or more up until you are 23. Or at least, that was the case last time I checked.

Damn, hope Takahashi is ok...

My son has Asperbergers, trying to get through the NDIS is a god damn nightmare. Everyone (especially workers) complain about it being a clusterfuck. I'm glad he isn't in a worse state of mind otherwise I'd be pissed.

And yeah the whole 'try to kill yourself, end up in hospital, discharge yourself, never get better' setup is so fucked up. My sister went through it for 5 years :(

Maybe NJPW is going to finally start telling its roster not to do super dumb spots if every year someone suffers a carrer-ending injury.

I would wear a Bullet Club shirt to the gym or something but there's no way I would wear a Firing Squad / Death Sentence shirt in public.

my only problem with the bullet club

and it's not necessarily their fault

i would not feel comfortable about the assumptions that'd be made if i was wearing a shirt like that outdoors, and i don't even live in america

perhaps i'm being too w o k e about it

Yeah it's an issue and this one is especially bad for that.

It looks great though lol

It is really inexcusable that things are so fucked up and inaccessible. Sorry to hear things have been that rough.

Here is to hoping for a better future for mental health care!

Still wrecked from last night's OTT show but even in this wiped out state I'm enjoying G1 USA a lot. White Vs Juice was brilliant.

The Hiromu news is terrible. That bump looked so bad that it really took me out of the match.

I'm gonna wait to see it in full, I'm guessing it wouldn't feel as short without the interruption.

I think the match was the same length as the semi-finals which were also somewhat short, yes.

I was just salty at the time due to the interruption and Yuu being in a position where the match had to speak for itself given:

Nodoka had her huge upset over the Megachamp and suddenly looked like she could take on the world.
Rika's still feels hot after changing herself for the title match and is fighting for the zombie girl.
Yuka's in a similar position as Yuu in that she's a company vet who's lost some ground to the newer women, only it would also be her first cup win.

Yuu totally deserves the spot but at the same time the event's been booked so well that she's ended up being hardest to root for so she needed a hell of a performance in the finals. Missing out on half the match really put a dampener on things live, but I'm sure the match will be fun when the vod's up.

I totally get that.

That Rika still got the crowd going so much and believing she could win is super impressive when logic would dictate that she's the least likely to win since she JUST had a title shot.
The TJPW Twitter poll had Rika only 1% behind the #1 favorite Yuka and Yuu was in the last place with just 18%, so Yuu definitely was more of an underdog this time around.
Yuu's story of being left behind in the promotion is great because it's rooted in reality. I think she needed this much more than Yuka who until the beginning of the year was part of the first ever tag team champions.

I was thinking before the tournament that whoever wins will not dethrone Miyu but I'm not as sure about it now. I'm still leaning towards Miyu retaining but I'm very interested to see what they'll do in the lead-up to the Korakuen Hall show.

The VOD has been up for a while already but I haven't rewatched the final yet.

I actually don't think the live stream cut the match so much as when it resumed it was from where they lost the feed. It was only 7 minutes long which feels way too short for a tournament finals, especially when the Yuu/Rika match went for 14. It's a disappointment main event for me but I'm sure Miyu vs Yuu will make up for it and it could go either way.

Good to see Deonna in the Stardom main event. After Shayna moves up she should number 2 heel behind Io in NXT.

Yeah, Deonna's main event was actually pretty good; at the very least I'd put it ahead of Io/Shayna. My only criticism is she needs to start throwing her legs on belly to back suplexes, she's the only person I've seen who's been able to make Mayu's Dragon Suplex and Momo Tequila Sunrise look bad.

Oh. That's weird. The official times for today are:
7m38s for Yuu vs Nodoka.
13m25s Rika vs Yuka.
9m44s Yuu vs Yuka.

But yeah, even if the main event was a bit of a disappointment because of higher expectations the other matches delivered.

I was rounding up a little but I just double checked the vod for the last match as that was the one where I was furthest off; the bell rang at 1:50:57 and the pinfall happened at 1:57:02. Ahh, now I'm just realising that it cut out at a different point than i thought so the VOD's still missing a part of the match.

Christ, just saw the Hiromu news. Hope everything works out. Two neck injury scares in a week, then an actual injury.

Oh. Okay. That makes sense. The Maji Manji show from this week also was up for a while and then got taken down to be fixed (but it took like 2 days). Guessing the current version that's up will disappear and hopefully re-appear fixed soon after.

Yeah, Omega, Naito, Lee, Hiromu, White, Ibushi need to slow down on the dangerous spots and neck bumps, specially when they do not need them.

Miyu is the ace of aces

She is the slip of slips!

They were even shorter than the round 2 matches:

4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Hikari with an Omoplata (9:58).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Nodoka-oneesan defeated Miyu Yamashita with the Backflip (11:20).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Yuu defeated Hyper Misao with the One Wing Twist (12:46).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Rika Tatsumi defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Dragon Sleeper (15:31).

Still great matches, but was expecting close to 20 minutes for the final.

Can anyone post the Hirmou spot in gif? I'm going to try and catch the matches but I'm first learning about this because the POST recap didn't really touch on it
