Yeah should be a good one, I have plenty of balls, eggs and stardust so I'm going to stay out all three hours and get some serious work done.
The community here don't take kindly to spoofers. Some guy posted a screenshot of his phone asking if anyone wanted to raid and it had a joystick on it haha, instant ban.
Yeah. But what then. Maybe I'll push up a third Mewtwo. Got another 93% with Shadow Ball. Or I'll start powering up legendaries above lvl 30.

Did 12 total raids. 2 shiny Articuno, and they were back-to-back! Did a few more after the shinies just for fun, but I went home early from this event.
I failed spectacularly on the previous Legendaries, so RNG finally decided to bless me.

~15 raids, 0 shinies. Still had a great time. I thought it was gonna suck too, because at first I didn't see anybody and my Go Plus was having issues for about ten minutes. But then there were just hoards of people and my Go Plus worked fine. Managed to get a 93% Articuno, did my first special trade and got my first Heracross, got enough exp to level up to 36, and came home to my Go Fest wristbands and map in the mail.
15 raids, one shiney (15/17 got a shiney) and about 600k experience!
I reckon it will appear alongside Regice in raids for the next two weeks to increase interest though.

Shit, with Trapinch frequently spawning at or after Go Fest, I now have no reason not to use my Rare Candies on Legendaries/Powerful Pokemon. I've never been at this point before.
This was me and my wife's first legendary raiding adventure using discord, and it was a lot of fun despite the Texas heat. 7 raids, we each cought 5, I caught 2 shinies, she caught none. Luckily for me one of my shinies has both the highest cp and IV of all that I had. After 60ish more days when we are best friends she'll get my other shiny.
I stopped playing this about a month after launch, because I was sick of nothing but Pidgeys and Rattatas. Logged into my account after the announcement for Let's Go, noticed all of the changes and have been getting hooked all over, again. Was looking forward to the Articuno event today, and got called into work at the last possible second. Maybe next time.

We managed 23 raids. 1 shiny (the 18th encounter). Didn't really track how many I caught since we were just dropping non-shiny encounters to save time.
Caught 11 Shiny Squirtle, 3 of which have glasses.
Evolved for Hydro Cannon one 91% shiny, one 89% shiny w/ glasses, two 98% w/ glasses, and one higher level 87%.
Also hatched a hundo Mareep.

Interesting thing to keep in mind for big groups during Community Day. Any pokestops that give a research quest that yields a shiny sunglasses Squirtle for one person will give it for anyone else that completes that pokestop's research quest.

That seems like a really smart decision, will help people who would complain about not getting a Shiny Sunglass Squirtle.
I also discovered that I have a 100% and a 98% Squirtle already, so I guess I'll pretty much just be going for Shinies and Sunglasses.

A ton of my Squirtles with glasses are 91-96, but they will need a ton of dust to become semi-decent.

Similar thing happened to me last month, shiny Wailmer while Larvitar hunting.
The articuno day was great for me and my girlfriend. We wandered around KC and did about 13 raids. She got 2 shiny and i got 0 but I️ got to level 31 which I️ really wanted which is nice. Totally stoked for today for the squirtle day. Starting in a few hours.

That low max CP is kind of depressing.
You automatically get him on the third ball.
Not hard, but be warned it's forced AR and more heavily scripted than most encounters. I don't think it can run, but it's scripted to break out of the first two balls.
With the setup of the game, anything lower than 2500 CP will hardly be used.

You keep saying this but it's really not true.
Like yeah, it isn't the be all end all, but most of the best meta relevant Pokemon are high CP (Kyogre, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Raikou etc).
Blastoise is low CP and that reflects his usefulness, he's trash in Go.
I'm not really excited for Squirtle today. I think I'm gonna pass on going out and playing today.
CP is just an indicator of stats and is heavily weighted due to a weird calculation. There are numerous instances where a more useful Pokémon has lower CP
Blastoise however is not one of those cases with his current Pokémon GO statistics. And it is just a bit sad how far he is away from all other starters minus Meganium.
Been trying to get back into this, but enthusiasm is waning. Went walking for two hours, didn't find a single Squirtle :/
