Yep, this is exactly what I expected from the Switch release - and I can't wait to play it! Okami is one of my favourite games of all-time, so having it on a handheld is going to be awesome. Even ordered the physical version from Japan!

I mean seriously, let's not pretend Okami sells. It doesn't. It just has a consistent fanbase. It's just like Megaman Legends: nobody really cares except the relatively small fanbase of the first 2 games.

I like shitting on Crapcom as much as the next guy, but this is one case where I totally get why they're not making a sequel. We should feel lucky that we're even getting another rerelease at a decent price.

I have this game on PS3, PS4, and Steam. Needless to say I have never gotten anywhere near finishing it. Maybe Switch's portable nature can change that. I don't know.
As for the touchscreen thing, it looks good enough to me, but I'm going to be more comfortable using only the Joycons if possible.

Wow, I had no idea. I'm guessing it has something to do with the game not being programmed for 60fps because there's no chance the PS4/Pro wouldn't be strong enough to run it at 60fps.

That's probably it; the game was PS2 exclusive after all.

As for the Switch, I'd be shocked if it were anything less than native resolution in both modes. The PS3 version was able to downsample from 4K to 1080p IIRC.

Well, yeah, that's a given :p. Unless it's the cheapest of port jobs, I sure hope a WiiU++ with a modern architecture can run a 12-year-old PS2 game at full res lol.

lol, as usual people forget that capcom actually made a sequel for okami
i've always been interested in trying okamiden, but i just can't pull out my DS to play a game nowadays. they can rework the game as a small DL game for modern platforms, i bet most fans would pay 15-20$ for it
