I can't even remember what's happening in this show anymore, can't say I'm all that interested in it now.
How lighthearted can a show about prison really be though? They've always had a good balance with this, though.
I checked out around the end of season 3.
I just didn't see any more interesting stuff with the characters happening that would matter.
Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons though.

I stopped after a few episodes into S3. It may have changed after that but I just get tired of seeing series that combine humour and drama well push further and further to the drama side.
It was pretty lighthearted but serious in previous seasons but last season it was pretty dark and this looks to carry that trend on.
Yeah, no. Season 1 was great, everytihng else since then has been a spiral of ever increasing goofyness and pure bullshit. The last season was fuckawful.
She gets less and less important every season, at this point she's already just a minor character.

Not anymore really. It's really an ensemble, a very good one as well.
Edit: also hyped as fuck. I love this show. With this and castle rock coming out. It's the perfect excuse to stay out of blistering sun
She's always there but after season 3 or so her character arc kinda stagnates and she is no longer a main focus. Now it's very much an ensemble cast kind of show like Mad Men.

Season 5 dragged. I didn't expect the whole season to be the riot.
They both hit season six this year, the Spacey situation made Orange premiere first, though!
I still think this is a very entertaining show, and they mix up the plot as well as they can each year.
House of Cards premiered in February 2013, Orange is the New Black premiered in July 2013.
As of this moment House of Cards has been running longer, but OINTB will probably outlast it in the long run. Even if they both got cancelled this year, the final season of HOC will only be 8 episodes whereas OINTB will have a full 13 I think.
I've recently rewatched season 5 and I am hyped for the new season. I'm happy they could keep most of the cast. I was expecting them to cut off many of the characters and start with a bunch of them in a new prison. Besides of a few, most of them seem to be back.

Like, my mind's an absolute blank for the most part regarding what happened in it. Shit, if you told me S5 happened 2 years ago, I'd believe you. Feels like it's been forever since the last season.
