Chicago Fest likely shouldn't have much effect on what next community day will be. Mainly for 3 reasons: It won't be shiny there, only small subgroup will be there, and most importantly those kind of events have all sorts of rare pokemon appearing common. Like the recent German event that had Larvitars and such everywhere.
Wouldn't mind if that became true. Gives everyone a fair chance to get a regional without either spoofing or flying all over the world to find one. 10k eggs would make sense for them to appear in.
They were nowhere to be found during the last few events but I've caught one or two a day for the last few days so they are spawning again (mainly cloudy or sunny weather here in the uk)
My worry would be that they just add more to them but keep the current pool so your 7k egg could be a Diglet / Geodude but you'll end up with a Rattata or Sandslash again :-(
I cleared my 7k eggs out on community day and i'm only opening gifts with distance on them now when I have an egg space - any local ones are opened for stuff - anything from far away waits till i have a spot for an egg
I have over 1200 Meowth candy now thanks in part to these eggs(also because of the Halloween events in the past), don't know what I'm ever going to do with all that. Wish I could exchange them for candies of another Pokémon.
Make sure you throw curve balls, that will boost your chances a lot. Then work on getting great throws. Look up YouTube videos for setting the circle. Regice and I'm guessing all the Regis will be a good to practice on as they're really easy to hit.

There's also a subreddit for friend codes. Tons of people there from other countries if you're looking to get eggs from far away places for the trade distance badge or in case they add regional eggs to gift items.

Yeah I was going for them, I know about that "crosshair" method that usually works, so I was doing that. I missed one but the rest hit, I don't think I was letting the circle get quite small enough though.

friend gifts are also an easy way to rake in the pinap berries, sitting at over 300 atm. and i use them frequently.
Supposedly Clampearl, Nincada, and Smeargle are now in network traffic, so a release might be soon.
Edit: Also seeing reports of Spinda, Deoxys, and Jirachi. I'd wait for a more verified data miner to back that up though.

Damn that makes me think it might still be a bit for them. I could see them dropping the non mythicals during Go Fest, but it'd shock me if they released 3 mythical Pokemon close together
I could see the three mythicals being put in by fall. There will be a continued influx of players with Pokémon let's go and they want to engage those players.

has anyone else suddenly noticed tons of geodude and Taurus spawns? they are everywhere in LA the last 24 hours
Geodude and Graveler are pretty common spawns around here, even get the occasional Golem like the one I caught today. Haven't noticed any more Tauros than usual though.
probably not for another month or 2, there was just one last week except it didn't include double xp for evo
I've noticed a high frequency around here too (also in la). Geodudes are like the most common Pokemon at the moment.
Looking through the trading discords, Tropius seems to be by far the most valuable Pokemon in the US at the moment.
Niantic have taken to adding things so that dataminers don't spoil things (which they should have done in the first place) which always causes people to think things are imminent, like when all the Youtubers insisted all Kanto Pokémon were to be shiny during the Kanto event
It very much depends on how you play / what you save
For both Pokemon and items you want to have as much space as possible but if I was traveling I would be looking to have around 100 to 150 Pokemon spaces to fill up with stuff from far away to gain the trading medal and also because if i trade it with something caught locally when i'm at home then I get more candies (you get 1 candy trading something you both caught nearby and up to 3 candies for something over 200km away).
For item space it really just depends on what you want to store and how much - if your traveling and spinning new stops again I'd think somewhere around the 100 extra and keep checking back to see if your stockpiling something specific - on trips its always berries that get me as i throw balls at stuff but i'm not in my usual gyms to dump the berries into
That's pretty fair, especially given we don't have any hints of how Shedninja's ability would work.
I could see Alolan Raichu and Marowak dropping this weekend though, especially since they're already announced, Alolan Raids that they could possibly be in have been announced, and no new raids for Go Fest have been detailed.
Yeah, they announced when they added the Alolan Eggs that Alola Forms would hit Raid Battles, but we've had nothing since so I'm expecting Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak to be raid bosses
I see. Currently my Bag max is 450. Which means i upgraded it thrice already. But my mon slot is still the same around 300. I probably should upgrade my item once more to 500 then upgrade my Mon slot to 350.^_^

Lunatone was up there is, and is still desirable because it's such a rare spawn and spawns at odd hours
In LA Kanga is kinda meh since it spawned in Anaheim for a weekend so most players have them
Wait why did Kanga spawn in Anaheim? I've never heard of it spawning in North America at all.
During the World Championships last year. Was a promo they announced during the opening ceremonies. It was pretty nuts. I'd leave the venue and this would be the scene:
I wasn't playing Go at the time but still managed to catch 2 or 3 while waiting in line in Starbucks and seeing people had it spawn nearby lol. Was in Columbus for the NA International Championships last weekend and was able to trade for Heracross, Corsola, and Mr Mime but yeah Relicanth and Tropius are in very short supply. No one had any =[ Hopefully one of those are the spawn for the World Championships in Nashville this year
