Trust me if Scotland were in a semi-final you'd never hear the end of it. Same if Celtic progressed far into the CL. But I accept that even with a population 10 times larger, England do receive a disproportionate amount of attention.
Well yeah, Scotland will celebrate Scotland being in the world cup. We wouldn't expect it to be all over the news in England though and nor should it be.

We're basically being forced to hear about how good another country is and how they're gonna win the world cup. And TV channels on about it non stop. It'd be like Lithuania TV being full of Croatia crap, I doubt they want to hear that either.

What makes it more annoying is that I'm pretty sure most of Scotland actually want England to lose.

This reminds me of the game v Colombia. England are going to be too passive in the 2nd half and concede.

Yes I have played on a semi professional level. Without the offside rule there would be no movement at all, attackers could just hang out upfront all day and would require someone to mark them. Abolishing the offside rule would make the game slower and more static.
That's a good point I guess. And yeah, that's exactly how I play football though. Behind the defense hoping some dude passes the ball so I can score haha! ;)

(works surpringly well btw)

I don't understand why the channels show England fan reactions throwing beers all over. This promotes this activity more.

Just an idea how much it costs the council to clear up this mess. But anyways who cares case it's coming home lol.

As someone who worked for the local council and has witnessed first hand how much money they waste, all I can say is in this instance at least the money is spent on people having fun. Usually it's down to mismanagement, failed/needless projects and general lack of foresight.

Yeah who gives a fuck about council wasting money clearing plastic cups cause England fans can't hold a drink.

Yes, who gives a shit. It's a world cup semi final, the first in 52 years. Of all the crap the council waste money on, you're complaining about them spending money on cleaning shit up that's ultimately a product of people's extreme jubilation and celebrations.

Why don't they just cancel the Notting Hill Carnival and fireworks too right? I mean, it does cost the councils crap loads of money after all, and for what, people's happiness? Overrated!
