Ohio
The pro-Sherrod Brown pieces have begun!

The Ohio Democrat buys all of his suits from the Keystone Tailored Manufacturing plant located about ten miles away from his Cleveland-area home. The factory sews and assembles suits for seven different lines, including Hart Schaffner Marx, Brown's favorite brand.

Twice, he's helped in negotiations that kept the Brooklyn, Ohio, factory afloat amid concerns of shrinking profit margins and broader trends to outsource manufacturing to countries where labor is cheaper. The most recent deal, from which W. Diamond Group purchased the facility to continue producing American-made suits, saved the jobs of more than 160 workers.

Browns Ohio factor would probably make the best general candidate. Even if I hate him on trade. We need to cling to the rust belt for dear life so whatever

Best case scenario would be for Bernie to not run and endorse him instead

It was posted in a tweet last night, but needs to be stated again:

HHS is taking money away from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS fund to help cover costs of their child separation and migrant family camps.

This is in no way helping the approval process as it jams things up with paperwork. Unless for the off chance that RR wants to show the world that this pick has been thoroughly vetted.

Edit: Now that I think about this for another minute showing a overly vetted SC pick could stop the dumpster fire that might happen when/if Trump is impeached or prosecuted for crimes.

Well technically this SC pick should not have happened but he is very clean so we keep him.
I think HotRod is asking the prosecutors to comb for text from Kavanaugh documents that will show conflict of interest, especially with regards to impeachment of a sitting President.

Doesn't "all but guaranteed" mean...not guaranteed?

Also, I don't think Sherrod is running but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on the 2020 Dem's ticket, especially if he wins Ohio bigly. Though I could also see that not happening too if DeWine wins the governor's race.

Apparently Sherrod is one of the only people NOT running in 2020 fwiw.

I am an insider confirmed

I'm mostly worried about Russia succeeding in changing voter rolls/vote counts. Their propaganda was useful and hurt Hillary, but so did a lot of things like Bernie saying she wasn't qualified to be president then trying to spin things around after she won the nomination, Comey, Hillary's bad campaigning and long history etc. I doubt internet ads will be enough for the midterms but I don't think Russia will stop there and I do think Trump will ask Putin to interfere more as a favor he can repay.

Nothing is guaranteed, I agree.

When the court forced the Trump Administration to prioritize reunifying families they separated, they said they would comply but shift money directly caring for people with HIV.

This is some supervillain level shit.

(Does anyone know Slavitt's source for this?)

Reminds me of when I was sqautting in NYC back in the 90's. Giuliani had a bunch of squatters booted from a building they'd worked on and got up to code to make room for a facility that would house HIV positive people. Only problem was he was kicking out like 50 people with HIV to make room for what would be 10 beds for HIV patients. Lower East side squatters got fucked to make room for development back then

I think I'm the only one Who doesn't understand this poll.
The grey line is the WH party's average. So basically plus or minus 1 point. The blue line is this year. Follows the exact same trend (which means it's going to look even worse for the GOP nearer the elections) but is several points lower. Simply put their numbers (that blue line again) are in the shitter

Wrong.

Works just fine in California, Oregon, Washington, and liberal mecca Montana
Restaurants continuing to exist does not mean it "works just fine". (Especially not at a $15/hr+ eventual minimum wage vs $9 in Cali) Waitstaff/serving positions are already overpaid relative to other positions in restaurants (which are underpaid) because of tipping culture and compounding that problem is not a good thing.
