That's exactly why I made the thread. Agents of Shield is my absolute favorite show, and I've been following the cast for years. I always thought she was a great example of someone who was able to overcome racism and use her leading role as a platform to educate people on the unfairness she has faced in her career. That's why this news is upsetting to me. But people are gonna call me jealous and creepy and so on... okay I guess. The only person from AoS I'd date is fitz lol

Lots of sociopaths form relationships to continue the illusion of being normal, they'll fake emotional attachment in order to either satisfy their sexual needs, or keep the appearance of normalcy.

Have you seen the death threats that Selena Gomez got when she was dating Bieber in his hey day? There's a lot of creepy people out there of all ages that somehow think their fandom gives the the right to decide who dates whom.
Whilst I did enjoy it from the start due to being more into the whole 'connected universe' thing than most, the widespread consensus among basically everyone who's seen enough of the show is that it experienced A MASSIVE leap in quality near the end of the first season and has stayed great ever since. It does start rather predictable and bland, before flying off in entirely different directions and doing wonderful, unpredictable things with an initially cookie-cutter concept and cast.
On-topic: disappointing, especially for people who look up to her as someone combating racism. Hopefully she eventually figures out that someone being nice to you doesn't mean they're a good person. To pick a quote from another Marvel show on someone suddenly 'becoming bad' during a relationship:
