I'd like to see an all german final. or Ostapenko - Goerges. basically one that doesn't have Serena.

I could have done without the last two games.

How many longer rallies will we see in the next semi-final? More than 5?

Tuned in to watch some tennis. Serena serves, hits two other shots, grunts like hell all the time and I am out. I just can't watch most of women's tennis.

Serena's in game adjustments and strategy are unmatched in the WTA. she seriously went from kinda sluggish and flat to dominant within minutes.

Why did anyone think Gorges could beat her when she couldn't a month ago? This is gonna end with a worse scoreline to boot.

The All England Club granting Serena a seed + the draw opening up has really allowed Serena to play her way into the tournament. Her game is on point today, whereas in the first few rounds it was very shaky.

Honestly, the only player that I thought would beat Serena was Petra. Luckily, she flopped.

I hope she got all of her nerves out in getting broken. We don't have time for them against Kerber.

Gorges got hype for a moment.

Jack Sock is into another Wimbledon doubles final. I swear he should retire from singles and just stick with doubles. He's not willing to dedicated himself to the fitness levels required for singles but for doubles he's just fine.

I have seen many, many doubles matches with Sock, and he is pretty good in all honesty, especially when he teamed up with Keys. I have also seen him play at least half a dozen singles matches, and he can be exasperating to watch.

A brilliant player one minute, flabbergasting the next...

He's definitely my favourite male American player though. I am not a fan of Isner or Querrey, mostly due to their (dull) serve-to-win style of play and their political stance.

Anyhoo, I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing Kerber and Williams on Saturday!

Just caught up on the Serena match. Man is she on form right now.

Kerber's only chance is that Serena has an unusual bout of nerves.

I fully expected the Isner/Anderson semi to be dull, but this third game has been suprisingly tense.

This anderson isner match is great! Are the players for the other match just going to wait another possible 3+hrs for their turn in centre court? Gosh i can't imagine having to be match ready for 3+ hrs...

If Anderson wins the 4th set, I don't know if Nadal v Djokovic will finish in time. 11pm curfew at the All England Club.

edit: yes I'm predicting a 5th set would end something like 24-26

Is there anything more frustrating/disappointing than living in Australia, turning the TV on at 11pm expecting to watch the thrilling display of Nadal v Djokovic, and instead see they're running the servebot matchup first, and of fucking course neither of them can do anything other than win long, drawn out tiebreaker sets. Guess I'm going to bed.

Even the crowd is pretty sleepy. That being said, the stadium looks to only be half full. Pretty sad for a semi finals. half the attendees probably sold off (or tried to sell) their tickets when Fed lost
