OMG watched the Eurogamer stream for a bit and my god just based off of that it looks amazing in VR...I already warned my wife that her husband will basically disappear for a few days once I get this.

Also I forgot that I never actually played the dragonborne expansion where you go to Morrowind! YES!!!!

I don't own any VR devices at the moment. I've also admittedly never played more than eight hours of Skyrim. I once made a weapon mod for the game and spent more time doing that...
Honestly years ago when the Oculus was in its first DevKit my immediate thoughts were "Skyrim would probably be awesome in VR..."
And now here we are and jeez, it's oh so tempting.

Do you want to take the world of Skyrim into the real world... or take YOURSELF into the world of Skyrim?
That's a really good marketing campaign slogan for both versions...

Really hoping all these Bethesda games end up supporting Oculus Rift when they come to PC.

I'm really struggling to decide between this and the Switch version. Skyrim sounds awesome in VR but I don't really look forward to 200 hours of wearing the headset. But I could easily play 200 hours on the Switch thanks to portability.

I'm gonna get both, aren't I?

Been watching the stream and I am tempted, severely tempted. Next purchase is either PSVR or a Switch and I can't decide.

I have both and honestly I would say the Switch is the better purchase. While I'm sure Skyrim in VR will be absolutely amazing with the Switch you also get Zelda and Mario. PSVR on the other hand doesn't have many other must play games right now.

Looking forward to reviews and impressions. I'm 50/50 on getting the PSVR bundle with the Black Friday discount now or waiting six months for the PS exclusivity to end to build a new PC and Vive to play it (maybe GPU prices will be sane by then?) . Will depend on how it plays on PS4 Amateur.

The Eurogamer stream that is going on at the moment is on the base PS4. The Pro has improved resolution.

These positive impressions and reviews are making me sad. Mainly, because I can't afford psvr right now.

I've been watching people play it. It looks pretty solid. Very close to the trigger on a PSVR deal. I really want to try VR and full games like this are what make me want it more, not little experiences.

Lol believe me i would love to get over it, i just get overwhelmed quickly and i feel bad whenever i see something not completed
My dude, just enjoy the game. I used to get overwhelmed with the idea of CRPGs or games with complex mechanics, but unless you got actual diagnosed OCD, just relax and enjoy the game. Go with the ambition of choice and not of a checklist.

That being said, my favorite YouTuber is a get errything done type of dude (Super Bunnyhop). Really goes to show how games like these have a bad habit of going for a large amount of things to do over a good amount of quality things to do.

I might just jump on this! Looks soo good! I think Sony did good with the Skyrim PSVR bundle. This will sell bonkers this holiday! It's what people have been wanting and dreaming of in VR. And judging from the stream it's a pretty damn good VR game.

Watched the Gamespot video and was very impressed. Really does look like a total mechanical overhaul to fit the tech and immediately convinced me why it's a separate purchase and not a patch update.

Just a shame I sold my PSVR last month as I never could shake the nausea issues.

A lot of VR sickness can be overcome. Maybe not for everyone, I don't know. I suspect that a lot of people give up early tho....

There was a time where I thought I'd never be able to overcome it, RE7 and RIGS, were an issue. As was Battlezone. I started smoking a little bud, which helped and kept playing in short sessions.... After a while, no issues.

It's too late for you as you've sold it already but for others... It may feel hopeless but be patient and give your body time to adjust.

Does this version have mod support? Of existing mods?

No mods. Bethesda as come and say that if they found a way to add them, they will be sure to tell us:
Does it support mods?
Mods are not currently supported however Bethesda's Assistant Community Director Matt Grandstaff said that if it's something they can figure out, they will let players know.

Have any previews/reviews/impressions mentioned the surround sound bug that the previous PS4 version had?

Would kind of be a dealbreaker for VR...

skyrim is such a horrible game. on the other forum, I couldn't believe how boring it was. I eventually gave my copy to a friend and never looked back.

but I am somwhat tempted just to see what its like. Maybe when its cheap down the line. But yeah, its kind of boring AF.

VR legs is definitely a thing, and yeah, I just want to chime in to agree that how much you can get over initial discomfort seems to vary a lot. Some people can go from instantly turning yellow to playing for hours without issue. Others never really get used to it. If you don't stick it out for a bit you'll never know. Great games that you *want* to keep playing in VR for hours really help though and I'm happy to hear that it sounds like this is another one.

I am tempted to dive back in... my PSVR has been sitting around since August. My only worry is the movement as I can get sick pretty easily so I may end up renting it first. Gonna wait for impressions and cross my fingers...
