Been interested in Night in the Woods for a while but can't decide whether to get it on Switch or Steam.

How's the Switch port?

Video Games
Hey guys, I know it's not related to the eshop but I got my physical copy of "Slain: Back From Hell" three days before it's official retail release. Problem is the physical copy of the game has an incredibely rough framerate. I heard this was patched in the eshop version not too long ago to run at 60fps but I was wondering if somebody could boot up the eshop version to confirm this. Also, could anybody tell me if the game is just called "Slain" on the Switch menu like the physical version or if it's called "Slain: Back From Hell". Thanks in advance. Hope the same fixes the digital version got are going to be a day one patch on the 20th July.
there's no world in which they put a ROM on a card releasing in July without updates they released in January.

I played the entire game in handheld mode and never had any problems with it. The occasional stutter but never enough to pull me out of the game.

And for what it's worth, I really liked the game. It gets shockingly real at times though, especially if you're from a small town.

Am I crazy in thinking that Go Vacation looks interesting?

Looks like a cross between Wii Sports and a little bit of Animal Crossing.

Did Read Only Memories get delayed again? It had a release date of July 26th and now it's removed from the eshop and Nintendo website.

The original title? Is this a sequel or port or something? Never heard of it until seeing it under coming soon.

You played this or whatever 'the original title' is? Can you elaborate?
This is basically a re release of the original on wii. Heard the resolution has been raised and they might've added a few new events. It's been rumoured to have added online multiplayer based on what's stated on the eshop listing

It was a Wii game. It didn't get much attention because the hype for mini game collections on the Wii had long weared off, but the game is really solid and well made. It could be a big hit on the Switch.

The Switch version is terrible, nearly as bad the the Vita version despite the system being more capable. The game itself is very forgetable in itself as well.

Playing the PS4 version now and I really dig it. It's basically a heavy metal Volgarr the Viking which is right down my alley and the combat's pretty satisfying overall. Already got my switch copy refunded and just borrowing my friends PS4 copy.

Just to expand on others' replies, the article here:

And thread here:

May be useful. I'm looking forward to checking out the game myself.

Aah, I see. Yeah, I'd probably checked out of the Wii by that point. Thanks!

In Spain, Nintendo is airing TV ads for 'Go Vacation'.

It's weird, because I still haven't seen a single TV ad in the Spanish television for LABO.

Regarding the M2 Sega Switch games, I'm worried that they still haven't show the visualization options.

If they don't include a CRT shader, all these M2 releases are a big nope from my part.

While not huge, I actually recall it being quite successful. I enjoyed playing it with my daughters at the time, fun game.

IIRC Go Vacation was a late in life Wii game that seemed to harken back to Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort but with more of an overall sim angle. It generated quite a lot of excitement among Nintendo-Gaf at the time but I never bought it, nor remember how it reviewed or sold.

I need to start Darkest Dungeon, where do I go for pointers?

Sure I know I have 'to die a few times' to get my sea legs, but I have been eyeing it off for a good while.

Super Destronaut DX is an interesting take on Space Invaders. There's different weapon upgrades (laser, double guns, slo mo etc) Plays well on Switch (60fps in handheld, not tried docked but its a simple game so should be fine!), looks like its got about 30 challenges, then traditional arcade mode, leaderboards etc. It was less than £5 so well worth a punt if you like Space Invaders. Cool music too :) It's also out on PS4 and Vita I think.

Makes me want Taito to hook us up with Space Invaders Extreme, that was ACE on PSP.

Ended up buying Bomber Crew. Really pumped for that.

Probably gonna grab one more today. Choosing between Mugsters, Guts & Glory (heard it's REAL short), and Pool Panic.
