He's featured on track 2 of the new T-Pain and it's actually not even a bad song. I don't know a single person who listened to more than 5 tracks of Chris Brown's own album. But there were features on that album that shocked me. Jhene Aiko decided that being on a track with Chris brown AND R Kelly was a good look.

I like what I've heard from the Jaden album. Say what you will, but at least Jaden tries to make his songs about something, anything, at all.

I was really put off by Peep at first, but I eventually came around on him, though I'm still a little lost as to why he's referred to as a 'rapper'. I'm not familiar with his older stuff but from what I've heard I can't think of anything where he's actually rapping.

Regardless, tragic that he died so young. Really sad to see someone die so early, especially when they're on the rise the way Peep seemed to be.

It's so good. Been having the album on repeat all day. there's some songs i probably won't be returning to that much. Lost Boy is probably the least interesting song on the album for me. The guitar just wasn't that interesting.
The whole BLUE tracks are amazing, and there's not really a single song that i straight up dislike. Falling is one of the lesser ones too, though it's pretty smooth.

Everybody who has listened to hip hop for longer than a decade has a friend like that. But anyone who listens to modern hip hop goes in knowing that already. There's a vast understanding that most if not all of the shit said is complete bullshit. It's about execution and delivery, melody and production. I don't put a huge premium on concept or songwriting as a whole but you should be able to say you fuck hoes and have cocaine in a relatively novel way.

I have no problem talking about it, but I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince you why artists like peep and pump are enjoyable to listen to. It's something you don't understand and that's fine.

Edit: I'm sorry, "understand" was a poor choice of words. I don't mean to imply that you are incapable or lack the intelligence to "understand" it. I'm sure you can deduce why it's popular fairly easy, largely having to do with simple melodies and repitition.

For me, it's about the "vibe" music gives off, which is a bullshit argument right from the get go because what is a "vibe?" How do you define that?

My dude, Cam has got to get away from these monotonous mid-2000 NY beats. The new Dipset track is better than everything on his mixtape. Towards the end you start to get a bit of that sample based heavy Cam'ron sound but most of it is just boring.

Jaden Smith: Honestly, I go in the studio, and then I just feel like saying what I really am feeling and what stuff's coming to my mind, and in no way, shape, or form do I write out the actual lyrics. I only extemporaneously speak them onto the track, and then come back and edit them later. Whenever I'm making songs, I am pretty much quote unquote freestyling them into existence.
