I think they're on break from filming for a few days, but man, almost all the cast and crew have gone silent. Those are going to be some awkward sets. Considering that most of them were dragging sexual harassers up until now, they must be terrified of what will happen if they speak up and Kreisberg isn't fired.

That said, Lexi Alexander who directed on Supergirl and Arrow had no problem talking about it, as she is want to do.

Yeah there's a whole lot of rumors and not a lot of sourcing. Unless something comes from a reporter or someone verified in the industry*, take it with a grain of salt. There's a lot of bullshit coming from shippers who have very strong opinions about certain characters and they tend to warp things to fit the narratives they want. I'm seeing stuff presented as fact when it's just coming from tumblr rants full of wild assumptions.

*seen a few writers say the Kreisberg stuff was an open secret.

I wasn't following the scene, but now that you say that I remembered the hysteria about some ship that didn't went anywhere this summer. So it makes sense those crazy people wouldn't stop their craziness even now.

Basically, from light Twitter use, my understanding is there is a vocal contingent of the fanbase who take the Kara/Lena romance very seriously, many of whom seem to have spun off the Alex/Maggie romance. As a result they're extremely protective of Katie McGrath and hate Chris Wood. And because Kreisberg likes Mon-El, they seem to have a narrative in their head that Chris knew all about Kreisberg and supported him while he sexually harassed Katie. Now you might be thinking they're actors who rarely interact with the writers due to being in different cities, and you'd be write and once again shippers can't separate actors from the characters they play. I mean if you want to talk irony..

Many of them are attacking Chris Wood for supporting a sexual harasser, while actively shipping Alex/Maggie as Floriana Lima dates Casey Affleck. But I digress.

Only way for dc tv to die or be hurt long term would be a writers strike scenario where they shut down production immediately and film nothing and cut episode numbers down and then wait for next season to reboot.

If the shows bring in new show runners that could throw things out of whack. Be interesting if Aaron Helbing and Ali Adler came back as they'd be most equipped to death with Flash and Supergirl respectively.

Either way bringing in outsiders or promoting juniors, there will be rough growing pins. Kreisberg they could maybe ride it out, but if they clean house... oof.

That said nothing is worth having sexual harassers in power. Erase them from the timeline.

He wouldn't be able to do it. Being showrunner is hard and requires shitton of experience. You bassicaly need to be one man orchestra. It takes a lot of experience in tv productions to gether proper toolset to handle this job.
I guess if they really wanted they could do it 12 Monkey style, when they got 2ndshow runner for first season to teach the newbie all the stuff he needs.

Supergirl is slightly better but still inconsistent.

Arrow is worse but nowhere near S3/4 levels. Olicity is back but reasonably drama free. Deathstroke is back and THE BEST EVER.

Flash overcorrected and now is super light hearted and goofy, too much so, but they're starting to find their footing again and they introduced Ralphy Dibny who is stealing the show already.

I can't think of any episodes you need to watch, but here are a few minor status quo things just so you're in the loop:

Barry and Iris getting married and that's the focus of the crossover. Wally is gone from Flash for a few episodes but should be back for crossover. Mon-El has been gone from Supergirl but should also be back. Oliver has retired from being Green Arrow and Diggle has taken over for a few episodes but obviously that won't stick. Thea is in a coma, she's probably won't make the crossover due to contractual reasons.

How's Tom Welling on Lucifer? Just listened to him on Rosenbaum's podcast. Weird to hear Welling open up about stuff like his career and marriage because he's pretty legendary for never doing interviews and press. Also they both also have a thing for Kristin Kreuk.

Turns out both Rosenbaum and Welling have been offered Arrowverse stuff (Rosenbaum said Supergirl, Welling said Arrow although I think it's the only one he knows) but don't want to do it because they didn't think it would be fulfilling enough.

Yes, double the number of DC shows, have them run at different months than the existing ones and make this 2nd round of shows have crossovers too.
There's 4 shows now. So for 2nd run do Black Lighting, DeathStroke (or Azrael if Shannara won't get canceled), Hellblazer and Books of Magic (to capture dat renewed Harry Potter interest) :)
