I am a terrible terrible player today. I haven't been near my phone all day so I had not even checked in once.



I promise I'll play more next day phase, kids birthdays are tough. Completely understand if I am lynche for inactivity though

He sounds like a nervous newbie to me and doesn't sound like he has scum mates coaching him at all. That's why he's a town lean to me right now.

TheChuggernaut does need to post a bit more and get involved but I understand his hesitance at least.

After rereading most of the posts, I'm leaning towards voting for rac and Kyanrute. It feels like kyan is purposefully making himself sound incoheient and rac has been pretty defensive

I will say that Kyan usually plays like this. I understand why it comes across like that but it's not something new for this game.

It's good to have some background on that, but is he doing it now just because people expect him to? The same argument can be used for Comrade Sparkster always ragging on Kawl.

Maybe Kyan can speak better for the first part but Spark ragging on Kawl isn't based on any prior history to my knowledge. Even Kawl wasn't sure why.

I don't think it's an indication of anything. I don't see the benefit for scum to actively call a player out so early.

Dunno if I can offer anything but WIFOM here. Haven't been scum in ages now so I can't really say with confidence how I'd act when scum. I imagine I'd be at least a bit more reserved but I am unsure how much that would show. And should you believe I am town, know that I sometimes am bit silly because I choose to do so. I tend to tone down the act the moment shit gets super serialTM or when people start becoming all whiny and mean about it.

hmm... I suddenly feel rather good about Kyan. this feels legit to me. Maybe I'll feel differently on another day but right now, don't think I'd vote for Kyan today.

What does it mean to "show your hand"? I'd like to know more about your thought process. In general why is that important on Day 1?

The second half of this post just reads like a flimsy excuse. You expect a PR to show their hand? What? I'm just not really satisfied with your responses here. That's not really a question for you to respond to. Just my feelings. I haven't played with you before, so I can only work with what you've done so far in this game.

I just find it weird that Kyan is calling that post scummy just because it's in list format.

I know that some people don't like read list D1 and find them scummy but this is just a summary about what happened so far and his hinsight about it.

Or maybe it was just a joke and flew over my head.

Yes it was a spooky day one list. It was spooky because I'd actually have to read it and focus on it to find out what it says about Puns and the world around him instead of doing my usual headless-chicken playing a game-mood meteorologist. Very distressing.

I did not like it. I have not read it. I did not like it because there was a lot of text there and it seemed to require thinking about the events in order to see if I'd agree with it or not. That is a lot of effort and I did not feel like doing it when I was ah so unpleased by the post in question.

And I don't like this post. This was the first post (or second) from a replacement giving hinsight about what happened before he joined the game. I think it was a good post to see what Tearable thought and get a read on him. You don't reading it and calling it scummy makes me think that you aren't actually looking for scum.

It's even worse when he called you out for quickly unvoting LP.

(See Fran, I did not bother to touch this either cuz it required actual thinking instead of asking a question or countering with something little. On the other hand, I am now obviously in panic and trying to cover for myself via a double approach of supportive evidence and a semi-change in topic! A scary scum I am!)

The conclusions seem odd to me. If scum want to cover themselves via a little team poke, that surely is too small a touch, no? Surely just appearing on the vote record for a moment is not enough? It could be that if Stu had been there longer and ended up making more of a case but no, I don't feel it here. I am not sure I get the second possibility, what's the narrative there? Scum Stu votes for a townie for what reason / benefit and then quickly retracts the vote for what reason / benefit?
